I started using Tula Products about three months ago which I absolutely love. My skin looks and feels different. I never really thought about skincare “tools” before. But, as soon as I added them to my daily routine, I’ve noticed another HUGE difference. I am sharing my handful of useful skincare tools that I own and a few that I have on my wishlist.
If there is ONE thing you purchase in this entire post, make it be a derma roller microneedler. This is something I believe gives dramatic changes in skincare performance. I know it sounds a little scary. But basically it is a tool with small needles on a roller that “score” or “scratch” or “make tiny little holes” in your skin so that your skincare products can penetrate deeper. Doesn’t THAT sound pleasant? ???? Now the first time I used it, I was like…. ???? but, I swear by this little instrument. Try it!
Don’t freak out. ???? Have you ever heard of Dermaplaning? Dermaplaning is done in a dermatologist’s office using a sterile blade to shave the surface of the skin to remove dead skin cells. It obviously, in turn, removes peach fuzz… aka whiskers… ???? leaving your face looking smoother and feeling softer and less wrinkly. These little tinkle razors do the same thing, on a lesser scale obviously, in the comfort of your own home. I know people who use these daily. There are some common myths about this as far as hair re-growth, so do your research.
What the heck is a jade roller? I’m here to tell you I had that same question. All I know is that I liked the looks of this little cutie. ???? A jade roller is a tool that allows you to give your face a cool, at-home, stone massage. And that’s exactly what it feels like, too… a facial massage. By moving this stone roller across your face, you relieve tension, drain lymphatic fluid, increase the blood flow, and minimize fine lines.
You can keep your roller in the fridge to make it nice and cool before use. I use this little tool after I’ve washed my face in the evening and before I apply the rest of my skincare. I want to try this antioxidant facial oil for added benefits. Oh, and I had a headache a few days back and using this on my temples took that headache away.
The Clarisonic Cleansing Brush is another tool I wouldn’t be without. I use a make-up wipe to remove most of my make-up at night before using my Clarisonic, but use this tool twice a day faithfully. It’s basically a cleansing brush that gently exfoliates, stimulates circulation, cleans the goobers out of your pores, ???? and helps your skin care products become more effective. I love mine.
This is not at all a tool… but it kind of is. ???????? It’s a “tool” to help deep clean your pores and detox your skin. I use this about once a month and my face feels fabulous when I do. You have to check it out!!!!
Here are a few other tools that are on my wish list. This Homedics Hot and Cold Facial Wand has peaked my interest recently. You use this to apply your serums and potions ???? rather than your fingers. Applying serums with the cool or warm wand helps distribute your skincare products evenly. Not to mention, ALL of the product will be absorbed into your face rather than half of it into your hand. Check out this video on QVC if you want the skinny.
Have you ever had a microderm in a doctor’s office? I have. And, they are wonderful. I want this little Personal Microderm gadget so that I can do them at home. It’s basically like a mini sandblaster for your face. ???? It removes dead skin cells leaving your face feeling smoother and looking brighter.
There you have it! The best skin care tools that I currently use or have on my wishlist. Do you use any of these? Or anything different? If so, comment below! Or you can stop by Facebook or Instagram and let me know there, too!
Oh…and if you ever have anything you want me to investigate in our little corner of the world, just shoot me an email.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I have been using a Clarisonic for a few years. I absolutely love it. I was a little skeptical when I bought it, but I really think it makes a difference! On the occasion when I forget to recharge it and have to wash my face the old fashioned way, I walk around all day feeling like my face isn’t clean and all my wrinkles are showing. Lol
hahaha I completely agree. I left mine downstairs after this photo shoot and was too lazy to go back down and get it. My face felt dirty. LOL
I’ve recently been shopping around for “over 50” products already. Sharing your routine has been enlightening and I’m now going to pull the trigger and finally purchase a derma roller as well as the clay Indian mask! I’m so excited to try these products! Thank You!!!
Oh keep me posted. I think you will be happy with both of them.
I have everyone of these tools! I’ve had the microdermabrasion machine for 6 years. The needling works wonders! Shave my face everyday . I’m 62 and always get complements on my skin!
Good for you. I swear they all work for different reasons. I love it! Thanks for sharing.
