Bedtime!  What a stressful time of day for me.  ???? I swear I start getting anxious a few hours before bedtime wondering if I am going to sleep.  It’s always a toss up.  I can be EXHAUSTED and still be up half the night.  Sometimes I am uncomfortable and keep flipping and flopping around…. worrying about the beastly monster under the bed. ???? Sometimes my mind won’t stop from spinning in circles repeating the same things over and over.  I keep a notebook and a “writing stick” ???? beside my bed, but even after making a list, I still repeat everything.

One evening, as my mind was circling around and around, I wondered….  Am I uncomfortable because of our mattress?  How old is this mattress we are sleeping on?  When I couldn’t remember the last time I bought a new mattress, but remember it being in the house I lived in 20 years ago…. ???? Ya… I think we need a new mattress.  Maybe that would solve a few of my problems.

So, we bought a very soft pillow top.  I realized after awhile that my butt sunk down in that extra soft cushion and it was killing my back.  And, I thought I was imagining things, but the VERY THICK foam felt hot the second I laid down.  Sooooooo hot!

Delivery Day

I was completely shocked when I saw the size of box that our queen size mattress was delivered in.  ???? Every single Northern Nights Mattress is delivered directly to your door in a small-ish box.   They are all basically squooshed to remove the air and then packaged in some type of shrink wrap material.  You simply unroll the outer plastic layer, set the Northern Nights mattress on the bed, and open the shrink wrapping.  You can hear the air expanding back up the mattress.  This method is simply to make delivery a little easier.

Trust me.  It’s not some flimsy mattress either.  All sizes are 11″ thick and the queen size weighs 90 pounds.  The Northern Nights from QVC is considered a medium firm mattress making it a perfect blend of soft and firm.  We slept in the guest room for awhile in order to give our honest opinion.  I immediately noticed that my butt doesn’t sink anymore and the mattress doesn’t feel hot. ????  And let’s talk about the price.  The queen size runs $399.  You cannot beat the price and the easy delivery right to your door!
