I LOVE jewelry. Did you see the jewelry box that we made out of an old window? It was such an easy project. If you aren’t into jewelry, you can make a spice cabinet or a medicine or essential oil cabinet out of those instructions, too. ????????♀️ Back to the jewelry… As long ago as I can remember, I collected rings. Rings were my thing when I was young. Ever since I can remember, vacations always added another ring to my collection…. from huge turquoise pieces to dainty gold bands. I remember wanting to wear one of every single finger when I went to school.
I then went into a necklace phase. And eventually into a bracelet phase. And, I’ve finally come to the conclusion that I just love adding accessories to my outfits. It just pushes it over the top with that little extra bling. Sometimes adding a really big necklace is all you need to dress up a plain tee shirt. I love layering different dainty necklaces to do that same thing. And don’t even get me started on layering bracelets. I have an entire collection of Victoria Emerson boho cuffs which give me that layered look without having to have someone help me get 6 bracelets on my wrist. ???? I love Victoria Emerson’s pieces.
I have been getting so many questions recently about some of the jewelry I have been wearing over on Instagram. I picked up a few pieces of every day jewelry from Amazon to take on our trip and am QUITE impressed.
I have very sensitive ears so I figured that I would try the surgical stainless steel hypoallergenic hinged hoops. And, I have to say that I LOVE them. I got two pair… one (size 14mm) for my first and one (size 11mm) for my second piercing. They don’t bother my ears whatsoever so I can even sleep in them. And, they are comfortable with the way they are made.
I found another cute dainty hoop that I also love and wear regularly and picked up stainless steel posts, 4 pairs in the set, to wear in my upper piercing. Neither one of these bother my ears and they are comfortable to sleep in.
I got a BUNCH of questions about my black ring that I wore all over New Orleans. It is also stainless steel and has not turned colors whatsoever. And pretty great quality for the money. It comes in black and clear glass and makes a huge statement. This stainless steel gold braided wrap ring is another goodie that I love.
I already told you that I LOVE layering bracelets. Well, I LOVE myself a great set of bangle bracelets, also. I found these thin round stainless steel bangle bracelets and cannot say enough good about them. They are comfortable and not heavy. They make a soft sound when they clang together. ???? For those of you who wear bangles, you know what I’m talking about. I cannot stand to hear someone coming from a mile away because their bracelets are banging together.
I wear my leopard watch band to the gym every day. When I ordered it, Deb told me I would get beat up ???????? wearing that thing to my workouts. So far so good. ???? It’s probably one of the most common questions I get…. “Where did you get your leopard watchband.” It is so good for the price and not really flimsy like some of the other watchbands I’ve gotten.
I’m assuming you noticed a pattern with the stainless steel theme. I am loving the fact I can wear the earrings 24 hours a day and not worry about having a reaction to any type of the metal. Gold stainless steel jewelry doesn’t have that soft gold look of 14k gold. It’s more of a GOLD. But it’s perfect for every day jewelry because it doesn’t turn colors and it’s very durable.
I plan to add a few more pieces to my collection and will be updating this post periodically. Or you can keep watching Instagram where I share my finds quite frequently.
