We have been so dang busy. I am trying to share every single thing we accomplish as soon as I can. Because once one thing gets done, we move on to the next. Have you been watching the pantry work on social media? If you are new here, we have two pantries. One is for our food and one is for our small kitchen appliances. The one for the small kitchen appliances is going to hold a really pretty antique buffet for storage, as well as some shelves above it. Deb got the food pantry shelves done a few days back and I wanted to share. Because I love how they turned out.
Read all of the posts about our pantry doors including where we found them.
That is a question I have gotten a lot over on social media.
We have done things a bit different during our new build because of us being content creators. We worked with a few brands on some things in our home, which I will be sharing in the next couple of days. Therefore, we didn’t need certain things from the builder. The pantry shelves are something that Deb and I wanted very specific to us.
Therefore, Deb decided to do this work herself because she wanted to recreate the same thing we had in in the pantry in our old house.
This isn’t going to be a tutorial on how she made these pantry shelves because you can see from the pictures that it was pretty simple. She used 1″x2″ boards as cleats for the shelves and attached them directly into the studs on the back and side walls. And then she used some plywood for the shelves. We wanted as many shelves as we could have in this pantry. So before she started, we measured the height of our biggest pantry container the height of three cans of food stacked on top of each other. And, we decided that 13″ apart would be great for us.
We ended up being able to get 5 shelves total with room for bins and baskets on the floor underneath the bottom one. That will give us plenty of room. The pantry shelves are pretty lengthy so she decided to add a few heavy duty brackets for more support in the middle. We thought they would look nice because they are gold and match our kitchen hardware and our wallpaper. Of course, Deb is extra. So, she added a trim piece to the front to make it look all pretty!
After a few coats of paint of our trim color, we moved all of our food over and organized it as best we could using what we had. I am planning on grabbing a few more organizational items for the pantry. But wanted to figure out what we needed first.

It is fabulous! Do you know if you will have links that will give you credit from Vintage Tub?
