Remember last week when grabbed those gorgeous 1920s pendant lights from the antique mall? Well, of course, we had to look around to see if there was anything else that was exciting. I spotted a beautiful antique mirror behind a bunch of other items that is unlike anything I’ve seen before. I had to have it so it came home with me. ???? The mirror is beveled and the frame is 8-10″ wide. It almost looks like it’s several frames added together.
Well, I promised that I would share with you where it landed here in the rental. And figured I would show you another corner in the living room decked out for Christmas. I already shared one section of our living room after we removed the Christmas decor and I’m loving it.
I leaned the mirror up against this large hutch when we brought it in the house and I loved the way it looked setting beside my yellow ware collection. So, I knew I wanted to hang it close to that. The warm wood tones and the gold in the frame brought out all of the warmth in the bowls. You know my love for woods and whites. For some reason, the warmth in this little corner makes me happy. It feels very cozy to me.
I stacked several large yellow ware bowls on the top of the cabinet and added a few little pine trees to this side of the room. Oh… and did you notice the large candlestick. Remember where I found those? They got a little makeover with Rub ‘N Buff to tone down the bright gold. Deb spray painted them black for me and then I added some of the antique gold Rub ‘N Buff to make them look a little more antique. I love how they turned out.
I kept with the darker throw pillows for Winter. I’ve said before that adding a few darker pillows to the mix makes if feel homey to me.
There you have it. My new favorite mirror in it’s place.. for now. ????
