I FINALLY got all of our Christmas decor out and dispersed in our little 1156 square foot rental house. For those of you new here, we are renting a space until we get our new home built next Spring. ???????? The time cannot come fast enough. ???? Especially for Deb. Deb is stuggling with the tight quarters which have to CONSTANTLY be re-organized. We were spoiled at the old house because it was more than twice this size. So we are trying to get creative here at the rental by switching things around and still being comfortable. I swear, I have SO MUCH furniture crammed in this smaller space. BUT, it saves on our storage unit bill. ???? We would have to rent another unit if I didn’t.
Do you remember when we went to Alabama this summer and bought a fireplace for our new house? We decided to use it as a headboard for awhile. Well… I decided I needed to move it to the living room just for something fresh. ???? Because I wanted something massive behind the couch as a focal point and I thought this would work.
I ended up switching out the pictures in a few of my antique frames with a reindeer print and this one that I found of a heard of deer. And displayed a few of my large brass vintage candlesticks and my favorite Luminara candles for a warm glow. This little homemade heart garland was sent to me by one of my friends over on Instagram. Isn’t it just the cutest! I completed the fireplace mantel decor by adding a few greenery sprigs between it all.
Can you tell that I have a woodland and deer theme this year in the living room? ???? Maybe it’s because my heart is out at the woods where we will be building.. where there are deer. ???? Anyway, I pretty much plopped trees everywhere. Some are flocked, some are iced, and some are green…. kind of how they are in nature. No two trees are the same. I added a few new pillows for different textures and picked up a few new lampshades with nail heads and LOVE them.
I hope my woodland and deer theme gave you some ideas for your own decor, and I really think some of this could take you through Winter. Follow us over on Instagram and Facebook for more fun!

The place really looks great. Y’all have done a super job.
Thank you so much!
Love the forest of trees and the deer prints… great decor as always
thank you so much. I had fun decorating this little rental.
You are my first and last go-to every day. Loving the neutral but lush & cozy look you’ve created. You turned me on to IT CC Cream but in Canada price is higher and I bought from TSC like your QVC.
Your style in design & fashion is great and I love your humor and attitude, Deb included and Ivy.
Awwww. thanks so much for the kind words!
Outstanding!
Thanks so much!
Beautiful! I still can’t get over how you transformed that dumpy little house into a lovely space that stepped right out of a magazine! Love it! 🙂
Thank you so much!

Your Christmas decor looks absolutely magical! 🎄 I can imagine the cozy atmosphere you’ve created in your rental space, especially with the woodland and deer theme. It’s impressive how you’ve managed to infuse so much personality and warmth into every corner, despite the smaller size of your home. The fireplace mantel turned focal point is a brilliant idea, and those vintage candlesticks add such a charming touch. I love how you’ve incorporated trees of different styles, creating a natural and inviting ambiance. It’s inspiring to see how you’ve made the most out of your space, and I can’t wait to see more of your creative decor ideas in the future! 🌟
