I have recently made a commitment to MOVE MORE. I should actually say MOVE period. ???? Not even kidding. Working out at the gym 3-4 times a week last year made me feel so strong and so energetic. But you know what put an end to gyms for awhile. And then, I just never got back into it. I do a lot of computer work so I don’t get the physical exercise that I once did. It makes me so upset with myself but I am one who tries not to look back and only forward. So onward.
One of our favorite places to shop for great workout attire is Backcountry.com. Backcountry is an outdoor premium lifestyle retailer that sells all of our favorite name brand clothing. It’s Deb’s FAVORITE site to shop. Their website is set up so you can shop by a specific activity whether it be hiking, camping, or biking. They carry Nike, Patagonia, their own brand, Backcountry, Sweaty Betty, Yeti, and so many more.
I decided to start working out at home from my favorite work out app. And, we are soon adding a workout bike to the mix. Also… Deb’s sister is a huge pickleball player. She loves it so much that she has a pickleball court in her barn. She also plays with a lot of other people who love the sport in our community. She has asked us several times to play with her and recently told us she would teach us how to play. So we took her up on that offer. Maybe it will be something that will keep me happy during the winter months. As you know winter is very difficult for me.
I think just focusing on getting some type of activity will help us not only physically, but mentally as well.
We added a few new pieces to our workout and comfy clothes attire recently. Tis the season for cooler temps so we focused on long pant and sweatshirts, etc. I know how much you all love comfy clothes and tis the season for staying cozy, so I wanted to share a few items. Click the picture below for direct links. All pieces run true to size.
Pickleball is a cross between badminton, tennis, and ping pong. You can get a really good workout and move your body while having fun. Deb and I played each other AND we both played against her sister. We had such a blast. It is something that I will definitely be adding to my commitment of moving more.
Have you ever played pickleball? I hear it’s a popular thing to do these days.
