Did you hear about my dog bed scam?  You have no clue how much I despise scammers and thieves.  I have a few pet peeves but that has to be one of my top ones.  Get a life and make your own money and stop stealing from others.  There.. I got that off of my chest.  Ha!  I eventually bought one and shared it over on stories and had so many questions about it.  Keep scrolling for the details on Ivy’s new dog bed and a roundup of more choices.

Ivy’s New Dog Bed

We have been talking about getting Ivy a new dog bed for six months now.  She has a day bed and a night bed.  Ha!  Her day bed is here in the family room and her night bed is in the bedroom.  Hahaha!  I’m laughing as I’m typing this because I know some of you are rolling your eyes.  Well, the zipper broke in the cover of her night bed so that is the one we wanted to replace.  It had sides to it that tucked her in all night. When that zipper broke, I grabbed an old one that we had without sides. I would wake up in the morning seeing her half on her bed and half on the hard wood floor.  So I was looking for one with sides again.  The dog beds that we buy also must be washable. We really prefer ones that the cover is able to be removed rather than the entire thing be washed.

The Scam

I had recently seen someone share a dog bed over one Instagram stories that looked so nice.  It had all of the qualifications that I wanted.  I was in the middle of something at the time and didn’t swipe up.  But, I remembered the name of it and the code that she had to get some money off.  A few days later, I decided to google the name of the dog bed.  The pictures of the exact dog bed she showed appeared. 

It was so pretty.  It looked like a donut and it looked so soft.  The website said it was washable and they had many colors to chose from.  This dog bed was around $100.  Which is normal for the ones that have the removable covers, the sides, and the nice padding.  I added it to my cart, but her code wouldn’t work.  So, I decided that maybe her code was only good for a few days.

The delivery would be around a week out. So, I bought the bed.

It took 3 1/2 weeks for the dog bed to arrived.  When it did, I was SO EXCITED to get it opened and have her try it out.  Man was I surprised.  The bed that I received was not at all the bed that I bought.  It was a raggedy little bed with stuffing that was wadded in a ball in the middle of it which made it misshapen. There was no zipper like the picture showed.  The color was an ugly brown and not what I ordered.  And she hated it.  Ha!  She thought it was a blanket and threw it over her head rather than lay on it.  Of course, the scammers kept my money and wouldn’t return my emails.  UGH!  I bought and returned so many dog beds…..And, none of them had all of the qualifications that I wanted. 

The Bessie and Barnie Dog Bed

Someone over on Instagram stories told me about the brand Bessie and Barnie and said they thing it’s what I’m looking for.  So I ordered one.  Oh my gosh.. it was the exact one that I wanted.  This dog bed had all of the qualifications and she LOVED it.  As soon as I took it out of the package, she laid right on it and didn’t even get up for the UPS delivery.  And that is a given because sometimes they leave her treats.  It is supposedly great for dogs with anxiety because they feel tucked in.  It is SO SOFT that I would love one for myself.  Ha!

You can see that it has a zipper all the way around so the cover is easily removable.
