Deb and I just installed the LazBlinds No Tools No Drill Cordless Bamboo Blinds in our bedroom and it took us less than five minutes to do! If you are someone who feel intimidated by home projects and installation, these are for you!
We like it to be dark when we sleep so we already have blackout curtains in our bedroom. We previously had Velvet Thermal Blackout Curtains from Amazon in our bedroom before changing over to the Curtainking Blackout Thermal Curtains from Walmart to add additional warmth and a pattern. We purchased the Adele Yellow color but it is a much more neutral brown color than yellow.
These curtains leave our room dark, but we wanted to add additional texture as well as be able to adjust the privacy and light in the room a little more. So, I went on the hunt for new blinds and ran across someone installing these No Drill Blinds from Amazon.
I really wanted to find some of the No Drill Blinds that I saw on social media. I knew that is a feature I really wanted. After that, the look was everything!
There are a few different no drill blind options available, but the LazBlinds caught my eye because of the Bamboo Roman shades. I love the premium look and texture that they offer.
These blinds come in seven different color options. We selected the Light Filtering- Brown206. They are a medium brown in a nice warm shade.
I also love that these blinds are cordless. You simply pull the shade up and down to your desired height. There is nothing to look it in place. It simply stays in the spot you leave it, whether that we at the top, middle, bottom, or somewhere in between.
When I say that installation is easy, I mean it. Installation really did take five minutes. Deb glanced at the simple, one-page instructions, pulled the blinds out of the box, and flipped the tension brackets into place.
We each grabbed a side, held them up to our bedroom window, and then twisted the nut on the bracket until it was tight on either side.
We did have to unscrew one side a little and tighten it up a little on the opposite side to center it.
It is super helpful to have two people so that you can each tighten a side at once. If you are doing it on your own, though, just hold the blind in the lower portion of the window and begin tightening the nuts until they are almost tight. That way you can lift them into place and have to do very little tightening.
Overall, installation was so easy. This is a home project that anyone can tackle, and I love the transformation it made in our bedroom. They serve a purpose but also add so much dimension to our windows.
Earlier this year, we installed motorized blinds to our guest bathroom. Read all about it here.
