January 2024 is going to be a month for cleaning up, organizing, and refreshing our home! If you want to go into the new year feeling good about your home, here are some great tips and products to make that happen!
We live in a new-build home. That means everything was built specifically to suit our needs and we just moved all of our things in within the last year. We have so many products coming in our home because of the work we do. Those products have to find a place to hang out other than the dining room table, and then find a place to be stored after we promote it. We already revamped the organization in our pantry. I also spent a week losing my mind over the state of our closets and drawers.
I planned to clean up all of our closets before Christmas while our outdoor projects were on hold, but that didn’t go as planned. You know how that goes sometimes. So, we put together an organizational goal calendar for January 2024! We are going to get organized and refreshed for the new year! If you want to follow along, be sure to sign up for our newsletter and download the calendar to help you get motivated and organized, as well.
This professional organization team out of Los Angeles is a newer Instagram account, but what I love about their account is that everything shown has a place. I love these mesh bags to organize documents, hold keepsake items, and even store lesser used games and activities. Drawer organizers are also a must have item for us. It keeps all of your accessories from getting jumbled up and stuck in your drawers.
Kylie Wade is a professional organizer, and I think she definitely found her calling! It’s hard to imagine that anyone who has such an organized refrigerator and kitchen could have small children at home, but she does! A tip that I have seen several times is to keep your fruit and vegetables in the door or a highly viewable area as a reminder to use them while they are fresh.
Blissful Little Home offers home and pantry organizational options. As you can tell, they also know how to display their beautiful products! Something I learned from their account is that bamboo is actually one of the fastest growing plants on the planet. This makes bamboo storage options an eco-friendly option for your pantry, kitchen, and closet spaces. Love this little fact!
This account is dedicated entirely to Deb. She would drool over all of these shops and the organization they have in place for their tools/project areas. If you want some ideas on garage shelving, this is the place to look! Deb is dedicated to getting her shop cleaned and organized this year. See a little bit of Deb’s workshop in our post about the vintage fluorescent sign we installed this past year.
Simple Lionheart Life gives us 11 tips for purging our homes of clutter. This is a different form of organizing, but it is still essential nonetheless. This is one even I can struggle with because who knows when I might want to use a certain piece for another project! One of the first tips in this article is to ask yourself when the last time was you used this item. I like to personally go by the one-year rule. If I haven’t used or worn it in one year, then I probably don’t need it.
Craftsy Hacks gives us 20 genius ways to organize our kitchen cabinets. It is so easy to be in a hurry putting dishes or pantry items away and to just throw them in whatever spot is open. It becomes a mess really fast! I really love the chalkboard inside the cabinet with measurements as well as the hanging measuring spoons. There are so many cute tricks here.
After looking at all of these accounts and articles, I want to buy all the things to reorganize my spaces! I’m just saying. I love seeing how other people organize their things.
