I love to fill our home with plants this time of year. Because after I take all of the Christmas trees and the winter garland down, it looks and feels lifeless. Artificial plants do the trick of freshening up our home. And, they have to be artificial plants. Why do I ONLY buy artificial plants, you ask? Number one, I cannot keep real plants alive. EVER. I forget about watering them. And then I over water them. When I say they last three weeks with me, I may even be exaggerating. Number two, you can find some beautiful artificial plants that look real. And number three, they will be around FOREVER. I rounded up all of the best artificial plants that look real and wanted to share them today. And show you how pretty they look in our home.
How beautiful are these 4 1/2′ olive topiaries? They look so pretty here on our porch around the front door. They would also look gorgeous on each side of one of our fireplaces. And, I love the fact that they give the porch some life during our really gray winters.
This artificial snake plant looks SO REAL. Why have one that you have to take care of at this point? It’s such a great size and looks great in this old crock. But, it would also look great in an old bucket, flower pot, etc.
These artificial olive tree plants come in a set of 2. They look adorable on each side of our kitchen sink. They are the perfect size to tuck into a cabinet within your decor as well.
I love a great looking tree to make a room come alive… especially after Christmas. This eucalyptus tree is very realistic and has a great shape. It would work in any room, too.
Paper whites are something that I have decorated with for years. These artificial paper whites are absolutely beautiful and look so real. I’m not a fond lover of real ones because of the smell.. if you know, you know. So these work perfectly during and after the holidays.
I LOVE lavender plants and topiaries. So we got a two for one on this plant. This lavender topiary is absolutely gorgeous. And it looks so real. I would love another one for the fireplace mantels or around the front door under the porch in the summer months.
I have had this artificial fern for a year or so and get asked about it quite often when I show it in stories. It is so realistic and really livens up a space. It even comes in the white ceramic pot. The size is great as it can be displayed pretty much anywhere in your home decor. And the price is excellent as well.
As you can see, you can clearly find great artificial plants that look real for great prices. If I would add up the cost of all of the real plants that I have purchased throughout the years, I would have had an even bigger collection of artificial ones than I have now. And considering these will last forever, I am happy about that.
Do you even believe that I found all of these artificial plants from The Home Depot? But, The Home Depot has such a great assortment of home decor. I find the best items there, as you can see.
