A Little Glimpse of Our Laundry Room

Utility Laundry Room - Deb and DanelleUtility Laundry Room - Deb and Danelle

We are a little late to the game when it comes to Christmas decor.  Being a content creator, decorating for each holiday comes really early.  I normally start sharing holiday looks at the end of October.  And the house is usually completely overhauled by mid-November.  But, as you know, we are in the midst of chaos here in the cottage with stuff sitting everywhere.  Why take anything back to the storage unit when we will be emptying it soon?  So all of the “stuff” is hidden behind the furniture.  It is driving us both nuts!  We recently worked on the chandelier in the laundry room at the new house.  And of course, I had to add a bit of decor to this area.  So, today, I wanted to share a little glimpse of our laundry room as it is now.  It will change, but it was pretty fun adding a few things here and there, even if it was temporary.

In short, we are late to the game as far as Christmas decor, and way early to decorate because our home is not done!

A Little Glimpse of Our Laundry Room

This need to temporarily decorate the laundry room all started with the chandelier.  We found this one when we went to visit my sister in North Carolina a few weeks back.  I shared our antique haul in a post, but I didn’t include this chandelier.  We found this in an antique mall there.  I believe it was 20% off.  We both fell in love with it.  It didn’t need rewired and it had all of the crystals.  The shape was so pretty and unlike any of the others we have.  This is the exact space we knew we wanted it hung.

During the transportation home, some of the crystals fell off in the trash bag it was in.  And we didn’t realize it when we bought it that it didn’t have a ceiling plate.  So we found one on Amazon that looks authentic.  I was adding all of the crystals back onto it and got the urge to decorate this laundry room.

I started with a large basket. This one is such a great size for something like this look.  It would work great for a coffee table, bedside table, kitchen island, etc.  I added my cake stand which I have had for years.  It’s such a great one because it looks like an antique.  The price is excellent and I use it for so many things. It comes with a dome that can also be used separately.

I added some square soaps to my cake plate and a few wood brushes.  Of course, a Christmas tree was a must.  I cannot remember where I found this as I’ve had it for a few years.  It looks really cute in this terra cotta pot that I grabbed about a month ago.

The sink and Faucet….

I will be sharing all about the sink and the faucet in a separate post.  It is new and made to look old.  I love it so much as it looks authentic.

What do you think of the first glimpse of our laundry room?
