I was recently scrolling Facebook and saw an ad for something that immediately caught my eye. I fell for it and clicked on the ad. It happened to be a gorgeous tassel pillow from Walmart. I loved it so much that I ordered it. So I started searching for other random things to do a simple re-fresh for Spring. I wanted to add to some of the pieces we already had but give them a different look. One of my favorite things to do is to find several pieces on one site that all look great together.
Since we are building a new house, we are in the market for a few new items ourselves anyways. So, this is a great time to do this. And, if you are not looking for a major overhaul, just adding just a few new pieces to any room can create a totally different feel.
All of these pieces work so well together and also still give me my woods and whites theme that I seem to stick with and love so much. We love the chairs we bought through Walmart and you can’t beat the price. So I built my room re-fresh around them.
Adding a few new pillows here and there really can change the look of your room. It freshens things up a bit. The tassel pillow is the one I fell for on that Facebook ad and I LOVE it. It’s a great size to either throw on a side chair for some added detail or use between two bigger pillows on your couch. These down filled pompom pillows have my curiosity peaked, too.
We have these side chairs and LOVE them. Ours have been in almost every room of our old house and same with this rental. They aren’t chairs you will want to sink into watching your favorite show. They are more for extra seating and are perfect for a bedroom, entryway, or around a table in the corner of a room. Wicker chairs, also, add such great texture and keep that woods and whites theme.
I ALWAYS think there is plenty of room for an ottoman. ???? Deb says I can squeeze chairs and ottomans in EVERYWHERE. Adding an ottoman to a chair you already have creates an entirely different look. Or adding a bench to the end of the bed or in a hallway creates a very functional space. We had a trunk at the end of our bed here at the rental. After running into it one too many times, we ended up taking that to storage and I really miss it. It was a quick place to change my shoes, and a place to throw my clothes when I didn’t want to hang them up. ???? I LOVE the ones I found below.
I LOVE adding trays to my decor. It brings a group of items together and makes your space feel more homey. I am obsessed with this little pedestal tray. They look really cute beside your kitchen sink holding your hand soap, scrubbers, and a little fake plant. (I kill real ones. ????)
As stated above, and in a totally different post, I am a professed plant killer. So bad that I have given up and don’t even try anymore. So you already KNOW how I feel about fake plants. Throwing in a fake plant on a little side table brightens up any corner. I shared my love for these cute little fake ferns in a post a few weeks back. There are so many great options which include cactus that look very real.
I LOVE unique lamps that make a statement. Ours are all one-of-a-kind because we made them from old pool table legs. We have another antique pool table and are going to make more so stay tuned for that project. Deb was talking about it the other day so it may be soon. But, as I was browsing, I found these cute table lamps for GREAT PRICES. Lamps can be so dang expensive. These large spindle ones are only $40 and are over 30″ tall, so they are very substantial for that price.
I found a few pieces of wall art that will go so well with my woods and whites theme. The smaller ones look really cute leaning up again the backsplash in the kitchen or on an open shelving, too.
I hope this gave you a few ideas to re-fresh your own home for Spring. By adding just a few new pieces, it can give your room a total different look. Follow over on Instagram to see more ideas.

So are your “whites” in your woods and whites truly white or are they more cream? What is the wall color that you use?
I use all different colors of whites... cream, white, off-white, antique white. The wall color in the rental is Ben Moore Simply White. But, I like our old house better. That was SW Pearly White.
I love the rug from the master bedroom in your former home. Where did you get it? I can't wait to see your new home. By the way, your rental is freaking affordable... LOOOOOVE, loooooove, loooooove it!
Thank you so much! It's the same one that is in our dining room here at the rental. It should be linked on the SHOP tabs or soon will be. I'm switching a few things around.
I’m in love with the chippy white floor mirror. Where did you find it and does it have sisters? ????
hahah thank you. And, no. It is an old window from a church that we made into a mirror. I have a post on it. You can search "church window" in the search bar.
How beautiful is that lamp shade!! And the lamp itself! Please tell me where I can find that gorgeous lamp shade???
