For the last few weeks, I have been taking you a walk around the woods. There are so many beautiful things in nature and just general every day things that make me happy. Plus, I think it would be fun to document all of the changes each season.
I take tons of photos when I see something pretty. And why not share them with my friends. This photo is one that I took while we were pulling up to our property. I doubt you have ever seen this view because it was from the road. But it shows our hard work we accomplished this summer. The pond, the pond deck, the landscaping around the deck, and the gorgeous fountain that someone gave us.
Take a walk around the woods with me this week to see what I found….
Fall is coming! Yay! I love fall so much because of the cooler temps and the gorgeous colors in nature. The leaves are turning and some are already falling. And, my pumpkins still make me happy. You probably already know this, but I have to focus on that and not what comes next. Winter gets two thumbs down from me. I just can’t.
I have never noticed that this little shrub gets red berries. I truly think this is a burning bush but had no clue. They remind me of Christmas.
I bought three house plants early spring for the cottage. This little fern was one. I swear it did terrible inside and it’s probably my fault. I have said before that I either forget to water them and then drown them. Or I water them too much. ???? This cute little fern has been outside all summer long and has probably doubled in size. It currently has tons of new growth. I am going to try to bring them inside again and see if I have it in me to not kill them.
Are you a fan of these nubby pumpkins? I sure am. This one was my favorite color this year. It was like a chocolate pumpkin color.
This is another one of my houseplants that I grabbed and it did more than double in size. It is probably four times the size. It really loved it outside this summer. Again… let’s hope and pray I don’t kill her. I got this bust planter at a flea market last year and I love her. She will be coming in and added to my spring decor. If you want to see some bust planters that I rounded up awhile ago, I shared them in this post.
