We are wrapping up the fall and Thanksgiving decor here shortly. I actually have the fall tubs from the storage unit in the back of the truck because Deb grabbed them today when she stopped by. I know a lot of you hate to hear that, but it will be full fledged Christmas mode by this weekend. I will probably sprinkle some more Thanksgiving ideas in here and there, but it will be mainly Christmas. That’s how things work around these parts. ????
I was moving some of my fall decor around in the house and moving some pumpkins from here to there. I decided to put together a quick fall or Thanksgiving fireplace mantel that you could re-create in a stitch. This literally took me 2 minutes.
Grab two containers and fill them with different stems or branches that you have on hand. You could even use branches cut from outside. Grab several pumpkins. These were some that I had on the front porch. Do you remember when I shared that little jack-o-lantern that I painted? I have really enjoyed the fall decor that I had this year.
And then just tuck branches, leaves, twigs, etc between the pumpkins that you have on your mantel.
I have all of my other fall home decor ideas rounded up in one spot if you missed anything or need inspiration for your gatherings. I have shared so many different looks that can easily be recreated…. from a thanksgiving table centerpiece, to a spooky Halloween fireplace mantel, and so much more. If you are wanting a great chili recipe for the cooler temps, you MUST check out this recipe. It is a regular here.
We have people ask all of the time about our television. We have the Samsung Frame TV. When it is on, it’s a regular television. You can turn it off or display a picture. We just signed up for the art on the actual television because we don’t have internet.. so we can’t download from Etsy until we get it. But, you can… and you can use any type of picture you want including family pictures. This is great for people who refuse to have a television above the fireplace… well now, you can. And it won’t look like one.
The Samsung Frame TV looks like a regular television with a black frame. We grabbed an ornate gold frame that simply snaps onto the side of the television giving it an antique look. It is from DecoFrames and they come in several different styles and options. I do have a code… Enter DANDD and you will save some bucks.
We love our Samsung Frame tv and so glad we grabbed it last year to hang here in the cottage. Deb claims it will stay here when this becomes her workshop but we will see about that. ????
