Remember when we went to Brown County? You are probably thinking, “How could I forget. You keep bringing it up.” ???? We found some amazing things at the antique mall there and I am slowly sharing where my fun items wound up here in the cottage. I already shared my haul in this post which included an orange light up jack-o-lantern that got a five-minute makeover last week. It turned out pretty cute. My other haul included a bunch of items to add to my collections!
One of my favorite finds was an old barrel top from a distillery. It was the first thing I spotted when I walked into the flea market. I thought about getting a lazy susan kit and making this into one for the middle of the table. But I haven’t gotten that far yet. I decided to use it now, as is. And here is here is where it ended up.
Displaying this barrel top right here on this table is exactly where I envisioned it here in the cottage. If you followed along in our flea market adventures, you saw that I found these antique stoneware crocks. I already had a couple in my collection that I bought off of Etsy and love them. The white stoneware looks great as a contrast to the barrel top.
I displayed my antique cash register numbers that I found on Etsy in the crocks. I have no clue why I just think they are so cool. And, I keep my eyes open for those when I am out and about. Who would have ever thought about selling those individually? But, I love them!
Of course, I added a real pumpkin to this table top display. If you have no clue how to add fall to your house, just put a pumpkin on it. Whatever “it” is, pumpkins make everything look fall-ish. It is quick and simple and hassle-free.
You probably recognize one of my brass candlesticks that I found, too. I have several of those in my collections as I am always searching Etsy for those, too. It’s what I do in the middle of the night if I am not sleeping. ???? I linked an entire page of them if you like to browse, too.
Did you notice my collection of butter paddles? I just love old things in case you haven’t figured that out yet. ???? I find old things so fascinating. Like how many people made butter and used these? Anyway, I hope you liked my little display and where these items ended up.
I found a TON of old barrel tops online. I can think of so many things to do with them… hang a few as a collage on the wall behind the sofa, lean them against the wall on your kitchen countertop for a cute display, etc.
