Our Favorites of 2020

Hello 2021.  You are gladly welcomed!

I wanted to take this moment to thank every one of you for reading these little old posts of mine and following along on social media.  Every comment and LIKE is GREATLY appreciated.  Without all of you, this gig would not be possible.  Last year, I remember sharing lots of fun things that I have planned for the new year.  That more than likely all went out the window.  I figured today would be a great time to round up some of our FAVORITE THINGS from 2020!

Our Favorite Memory of 2020

Danelle:  My favorite memory of 2020 was our trip to New Orleans in January.  It was pre-covid and it was a carefree, an extremely fun time, without fear.

Deb:  My favorite memory of 2020 was our trip to NOLA in January.

Our Favorite Rental House Project

Danelle:  I would say the back yard makeover when we found the old bank building limestone slabs we currently use as steps.

Deb:  The laundry room shelf has to be my favorite project here at the rental.

Our Favorite Camper Project

Danelle:  I loved the bathroom door project.  We needed a door and saw one on heavy trash so we ran down at 11pm at night to grab it before the trash guys picked it up.

Deb:  I thought the dining room table in the camper was a fun project.

Our Favorite Woods Project of 2020

Danelle:  I think my favorite project of 2020 was when we recycled concrete into a sidewalk.  It was a lot of heavy work and we were exhausted but I love that type of work.

Deb:  I loved the mailbox I made for the new property.  It was one of the first things I did for our new life.

Favorite Song of 2020

Danelle:   I bet all of you who watch social media will guess this one.  My favorite song of 2020 is Circles by Post Malone.  I still love it and listen to it ALL OF THE TIME.

Deb:  My favorite song of 2020 is, I should probably go to bed, by Dan and Shay.

Favorite Garage Sale Find

Danelle:  I have so many fun garage sale finds and really hate to choose one thing, but I LOVE finding old pottery to add to my collections.

Deb:  My favorite garage sale find during the 127 garage sales was my old fashioned pencil sharpener.

See all of our 127 garage sale finds.

Favorite Flea Market Find

Danelle:  We brought home so many great items from the Springfield Flea Market this year because we went twice.  The second time was on a whim.  I LOVE the small antique wardrobe we found and the Parker cabinet.

Deb:  I love the antique spool cabinet.  (I have never shown that yet because it needs some work.)

See several items we found at the flea market.

Favorite Antique Store Find

Danelle:  We haven’t been to many antique malls this year but we have been to a few.  I believe my favorite find happens to be a recent find.  It is the antique lights we found for the barn.  I share that fun antique store run here.

Deb:  One of my favorite finds is our primitive hutch in the kitchen that serves as our pantry.

Favorite Purchase of 2020

Danelle: I would say my favorite purchase is still some of my fun antique finds.  I especially love the antique mirror I found on our last antique run.

Deb:  My favorite purchase last year was my new to me truck.  And my pencil sharpener.  That’s all I got.

I’m so looking forward to see what 2021 has to bring to the table.  We have BIG PLANS!  Stay tuned.
