I often get asked why I get ready and apply makeup every day when I work from home. Or why I wear makeup when I am working outside on the chicken coop or decorating the porch. Well, I can answer that. It is because I feel way more productive when I get up and get ready for the day. I think when you work from home, it is really important to still act as though you are headed to an office. Plus, if something random comes up, I am most likely to go rather than saying no because I’m not ready. And having to get ready later in the day is a real drag. I have always been like this and it has worked for me.
Today, I wanted to share the beauty products that I have been wearing nearly every day. The products that I use are pretty much all earth tones, so they are such great beauty items for fall, too. And, you can create a fairly natural makeup look all the way to high glam.
I LOVE this Urban Decay Naked Reloaded eye shadow palette. The colors are BEAUTIFUL. The formula is very pigmented and you get minimal fallout which are two things I look for in an eye shadow palette. I love palettes because they last a LONG time. In fact, I’ve had some of mine for years. You can create so many different looks from an every day neutral look to a really dramatic look if you are going out on the town. Also, there is a great balance of mattes to shimmers to this one.
Top any look you create off with one of my favorite mascaras. Monsieur Big by Lancome has a formula like no other. It gives you big and bold lashes without feeling really crunchy when it’s dry.
Nars Bronzing Powder in the color Laguna has been one of my favorites for years. I ran out awhile ago and recently grabbed this again. It is very pigmented so that’s a huge plus. It means it lasts a long time. I will use this as bronzer or a blush. When in a hurry, I will brush it over my lids and it works excellent as a quick eye shadow, too.
MAC Extra Dimension Blush is so dang pretty. This is new to me so I have been using it daily for a few weeks now. It gives you a bit of a glow, but not too much to accent any fine lines or wrinkles. I have this in the color Faux Sure.
I have searched forever for a great eyebrow product and once I found this Brow Powder Duo by Anastasia Beverly Hills I stopped looking. It fills in my brows like no other and it has great staying powder. I love that it comes with two colors as well. The Taupe color is perfect for me.
For those of you who love to add little hair like strokes to your brows, try this Microblade Brow Pen by Ciate over the powder. I actually have this one on the way to my house and should be here any time. I bought the light brown. It’s got great reviews, too.
I have several of the Lip Cheat Lip Liner by Charlotte Tilbury. They are the best liners I have found. If you are looking for a true brown, check out Foxy Brown. It’s my fave and matches pretty much any neutral lipstick.
Speaking of a neutral lip, this Full-On Plumping Lip Cream Gloss by Buxom looks like a great one. The Peach Daiquiri looks like a really pretty every day color.
