Guess what!   The master bedroom got a new look.  I know what you’re thinking… “what’s next, you crazy, old lady?”  I seem to be playing the old switcheroo with lots of rooms these days.  First, I moved the huge cabinets in the dining room around and gave that room a fresh new look.  Secondly, we repaired the fireplace wall above the mantel and then just had to add some shiplap.  And, thirdly, we moved the living room around and got a new huge coffee table.  Don’t worry, there will be a fourth and a fifth.  I have plans.

The Master Bedroom Headboard

Our master bedroom is huge.  And what I mean by huge, I mean it’s 28′ x 15′.  It’s a huge space to try to fill with furniture and home decor.  Especially when you like spaces REALLY pooped up like I do.   We originally used a big mirrored window as a headboard and added the original exterior shutters on each side after the BIG remodel.

I decided I needed a change after the holidays, as I did in almost every other room.  I wanted a fresh new look.  So we started by switching the cathedral windows I used as a headboard in the guest room to the master.  And then it went from there.  I didn’t move much furniture around but I did move some of the decor.

I ended up switching the curtains from a creamy white to a white-white, because the room had a yellow cast which I wasn’t fond of.

And, the television stand got a whole new look with decor, too.  I’m a big fan of texture.  I think the shutters and the painted basket give this space a lot of interest.

Oh…. and I finally figured out what to write on my chalkboard.  It has been blank for a long time.  “Dancing in the moonlight” ???? was playing on the radio when I was standing there racking my brain regarding something to write.
