Fall Decor

Quick Neutral Table Decor

It has been BEASTLY hot here in Ohio.  The humidity has been very high which makes you melt the second you walk out the door.  Which is a reminder that it is still summer.  I am, however, getting the itch to get out my fall items.  Have you seen how many different looks I have created throughout the years?  I had a few posts from the house on Winchester, several posts from the rental, and several posts from last year when we moved into the cottage.  To he honest, I’m not sure how many I will get in this year because life is very chaotic.  We are in the middle of the new build and all of our fall tubs are in the storage unit.  Deb gave me a look when I said, “Do you want to go get the fall tubs with me?”  😂 Ultimately, she will help me with whatever I want, but it doesn’t sound fun to me either.  They are buried deep in the unit behind the Christmas items and Christmas tubs.

I only have a few neutral things here in the cottage and decided to throw together a quick neutral table decor.  It literally took me 2 minutes.  And, I like how cozy it turned out.

Quick Neutral Table Decor

I started with a pumpkin planter, that I made from a carvable foam pumpkin, simply by cutting off the stem.  I added that pumpkin in the middle of my table with 2 bunches of these really pretty cream color leaf bunches.  They are really dainty and would look cute in a vase on your bedside table for a little fall feel.  Or even added to a pitcher for your kitchen island or counter top.

If you have been around here for any length of time, you know that I usually add some type of candles or candlesticks to every look.  I LOVE these black metal ones.  This is actually two different sets put together… this set from Pottery Barn and this set from Amazon.  There is an obvious difference in the weight of them, but as far as looks, I don’t think you would notice a difference.  I LOVE these candles and have been using them for years.  The only reason there is wax all over my table is because there is a ceiling register right above this table and the air turned on in the middle of this styling session.  Otherwise, they are pretty good as far as making a mess.

I grabbed these cute paper mache apples last year and LOVE them, too.  They match my decor so well… and they can be left out all year long, as far as I’m concerned.

I usually keep my fall decor pretty neutral.  I may throw an orange pumpkin in here or there, but for the most part, this is how I decorate for the season.

Stay tuned for lots more looks as this got me in a creative mood.  And look around at some of the other fall posts on our website to get some ideas for your own home.

  • I love the neutrals too! I have been liking a touch of the the darker burnt orange here and there as well. Those leaves are beautiful and I also love those apples, I think you got those from Wesley's website?? Sooo cute! I just picked up an all white vintage white turkey planter thing from Goodwill. Got a great deal and just need to stick some neutral leaves in it. I can't believe summer is ending already! I love keeping up with you both on your blog, thanks for sharing!

    • Love that!! Yes, I got them from his website. We love his decor on there. And that sounds like a great find!! I cant believe it is almost over too. It goes by faster every year.
