Simple Cozy Christmas in the Bedroom

I had some Christmas content  for the bedroom that I needed to record for a brand over on TikTok.  So naturally, the winter greens and Christmas decor made their appearance.  For that content, I wanted to create a simple cozy Christmas look in the bedroom.

To be honest, I was completely hoping that we would be in the house by now, because I wanted the entire season over there.  And, actually, we were supposed to be but some things got delayed.  As you know, I start decorating very early for Christmas.  If you forget how much I decorate for the holidays, I have rounded up all of those posts in one spot:   Christmas fireplace mantel ideas, side table decorations, home decor in each room of the house.  You name it.  I’ve covered it throughout the almost six years that I have been sharing our home with you.

Anyway, lets move on to the simple cozy Christmas look that I created in the bedroom.

Simple Cozy Christmas in the Bedroom

Side Table Decor

I have said this before and I will say it again.  If you need to cozy up a side table for Christmas but don’t have a lot of time, throw a tree on it.  When you want to add some Christmas to your kitchen countertops, throw a tree on it.  Truly, it’s all it takes.  You don’t need ornaments or lights.  A simple artificial tree inside of a crock, bucket or old bowl will do the trick.

I added a few trees to each side table here in the bedroom.  Both of the trees that I used look SO DANG REAL.  I love a realistic looking tree.  The smaller one not only looks real, but also feels real.  It’s also at such a great price already.  I tucked that one down in a crock.  The base is a silver metal pot, but I liked the look of the crock and it fits perfectly. The larger one is the same… it looks and feels real. It comes in a gorgeous distressed white pot, which matches my decor really well.  I grabbed both of these trees last year and the little one always sold out every time I shared them.  So, if you want them, grab them.

I grabbed these glass mercury snowballs from HSN earlier this year.  I did find a bunch of them that you can check out here as well.  They are really handy to grab for side tables and fireplace mantels.  And, then, of course, vintage brass candlesticks, along with my favorite battery operated birch candles, completes the side tables.

Throw Pillows

Another simple way to quickly bring a cozy feeling in any space is to add different throw pillows.  I have a few new Christmas tree throw pillows that I just ordered that I want to add in the middle of these two brown ones, but they arrived after I shot this bedroom look.

Winter Print

You know my love for switching out the prints in my antique picture frames.  It’s such a simple and very inexpensive way to change out your seasonal decor.  I bought this reindeer print several years back when we were in the rental and love when it resurfaces.  Etsy has so many different downloadable prints that I would look so great with my woods and whites for this season.  I shared a few that I have over on a post last year.

TIP OF THE DAY

When switching out your prints in your antique frames, keep the older ones in the frame under the current one.  Essentially layer them in the frame to protect them.  And then write on the backside of the picture what is in each frame.  (pumpkin, reindeers, white rabbit, etc.)

This is my favorite way to decorate for the holidays.  It feels cozy but it is really simple… not frills or anything really extra.

  • Beautiful as always! I love neutral Christmas decor and styling! I completely understand the world of construction delays. I grew up in construction as my Dad is a custom home builder and I know personally from his side, he hates the delays too! I look forward to seeing you both finally in your new home and also what Deb is doing with her workshop!
