Did you see the simple centerpiece hack that I shared several weeks ago. If you have a wreath and you have a pumpkin, you have a really great center piece idea. Well, I found this gorgeous antique dough bowl at the Springfield flea market a few weeks back. If you want to see my entire haul, you will have to check out this post. I love seeing what other people find at flea markets and garage sales. It’s why I always share mine.
I went to the flea market saying that I wanted to find an antique dough bowl. I have always loved them but never found the perfect one. Because I didn’t want a huge one. This one has a few metal pieces on the top and bottom holding a crack together. Those type of things make me love vintage pieces even more. Someone really tried to salvage it. So, I wanted to share today what I did with it. And it is so simple that anyone could create this same look. This simple fall dough bowl idea is perfect for a centerpiece or even to display on your coffee table for the season.
Dough bowls really come in handy for all seasons. They look gorgeous with Christmas greens and ornaments as well. So, I will be sharing another look for the next season coming up.
First up, if you don’t have a dough bowl, you could use a basket or a tray and do this same idea. If you want a dough bowl, you can pick up new ones pretty inexpensively. I did round up a bunch if you are interested. Some are new and some are old but they would all do the trick for this type of fall centerpiece.
I ended up adding a few fall stems to my antique dough bowl… three to be exact. I draped them over the sides to soften the bowl. And then I added three longer sunflower stems in the same manner. You could use dried pampas grass or something you cut from your yard if you don’t have any fall stems. I shared a whole bunch several weeks ago if you are looking for some to add to your fall home decor.
And then I added a few artificial pumpkins and my all-time favorite paper mache apples that I have had for awhile now. I have them displayed all of the time because I love the texture they add to my decor. They look cute in an old crock or wooden bowl.
This literally took me a total of about three minutes to throw together this simple fall dough bowl centerpiece.
