I shared the doorknobs that we chose for our new home over on social media stories.  And, I got SO MANY requests for links.  And, I can see why.  I think they are so dang pretty.  It has always been a goal of ours to build this house with very little to no maintenance.  We wanted our home to be very functional, but also to look old using our antique brass chandeliers.  Once I started picking out the different products, such as our doorknobs, I kept leaning towards all of the golds.  My eyes were drawn to them, I think, because of those chandeliers.

We kept high quality products in mind as well.. because of the low to no maintenance for years to come. We happened to see Emtek Products at a showroom close to our home and absolutely fell in love.  They have such a great weight and feel to them.. and they are beautiful.  So I wanted to share the exact door knobs that we found for our new home.

Melrose Tubular Entry Set

I wanted our front entry doorknob to make a big statement.  And, I have always gravitated toward the handle sets that are heavy duty.  This Melrose Entry Set comes in several different colors, but as I said above, I wanted gold.  There are actually a few different gold tones available and I went with the color, french antique.  What I love about this particular set is that you can choose the inside door knob to fit your taste.  There are 67 options to be exact and I went with the Ribbon and Reed Knob.  And, we love it so much!  It looks old which, again, is the look we were going for.

EMTouch™ Keypad Leverset

Deb and I have always loved keypads so that we don’t have to mess with keys.  And, we both love the look of this EMTouch Keypad Leverset.   This particular lever set comes in 6 different colors and we chose the satin brass.  And 33 different levers.  I loved the L Square Select Faceted Lever because it’s something we have never seen before.  We have this on the rest of the exterior doors on the house.  Again the quality is EXCELLENT. 

More reasons to love a keypad leverset…

When someone needs in your house for some reason, it’s way easier.  This sure would have made life easier when the girls were young, too.  I remember getting a frantic call at work telling me that they dropped the key between the cracks of the porch.  And, they were locked out.  So, we have gone with the key pads ever since.  If you like taking walks, there is no key to carry, etc.  There are so many plusses to a keypad lever set.

Interior Door Knobs

The one requirement Deb had for the interior door knobs of our home was that they had to have glass handles. And, I loved the idea, because they were original to the old house.  Both of us loved them.  The Astoria Knobs were so similar to the original old ones and I knew they would match our decor.  There are 14 finishes to choose from, so we chose the color, french antique.  You need to choose a rosette which are the back plates.  There are actually 23 choices and we loved the rectangular rosette, which are the ones we got. These knobs come in privacy door knobs, passage knobs, and dummy knobs which is what we have on our closet doors.

Spindle Appliance Pull

We are still waiting on our refrigerator and freezer to be delivered, which will be cabinet front.  So we needed some type of appliance pulls.  These spindle appliance pulls by Emtek are gorgeous.  I know they will go well with our decor.  They come in 9 different finishes and we went with the french antique.  These pulls are so substantial, heavy, and great quality.  I cannot wait to get them installed which should be in the next couple of weeks.

I know lots of you were waiting on the details on the doorknobs that we chose for our knew home.  We are so happy with them.  They match our decor and we will enjoy them for years and years to come.
