I shared with you awhile ago our absolute favorite hair care products. Both Deb and I use them and we are both obsessed. We get all of our products at The Oak Room Beauty Lounge, which is where Deb gets her DOs. ???????? I was hanging out in the salon with Deb and her stylist, Joann, a few weeks back and just thought you all needed to know a little bit more about this gorgeous place. So, why not share it right here!
The 150 year old building was an attorney’s office for YEARS. The owners, Mark and Joann Okoniewski, recently bought the building and remodeled the entire thing. They exposed the brick walls which makes it feel so warm and cozy. The salon is in the lower level of the building but it actually has three floors of goodness. She has been tossing around ideas for the top two floors, but nothing is set in stone.
You know first impressions are critical. A first impression can set a tone for the rest of a relationship…. personal, friendships, businesses. The moment you walk in the front door of The Oak Room Beauty Lounge, you are greeted by their sweet receptionist. ❤️ If by chance she isn’t there, you are immediately greeted by one of the stylists. This same type of respect is also shown when you call the salon. If they are on another line or with a client, your phone calls are returned as soon as possible and on the same day.
They carry our favorite, Kevin Murphy hair products and, also, have a boutique section in the front of the salon with clothing, purses, jewelry, sunglasses, etc. It’s a fun little spot to check out for boutique-y type things.
They currently have several stylists available that are all accepting new clients… men, women, and children. They all do the regular hair-y things: ???? cuts, colors, high-lights/low-lights, and perms, along with special occasion styling. Deb was so impressed by their new client consultation at her first appointment. The stylist listens to your wants…and your expectations, while paying attention to your face shape, hair type, and texture. Also, this is big… they ask what you expect your maintenance to be. ???? I think Deb said something like, “I don’t want to do anything to it.” ????
The Oak Room has an aesthetician. Her facials are perfect for dehydrated skin, fine lines redness or acne. (Deb needs this service for her alligator skin ????) She also does beautiful airbrush makeup for that special occasion. All waxing services are also provided.
They offer therapeutic and relaxation massages in 30, 50, 60, or 80 minute sessions. Sign me up! ???????? A 20-minute peppermint foot massage is also available. How heavenly does that sound?
Check out The Oak Room Beauty Lounge on Facebook and Instagram where you will get a glimpse of newly added boutique items and also their happy clients with their new styles.
If you are ever in our area, you need to checkout The Oak Room Beauty Lounge. They have so many wonderful services, not to mention, it’s such a gorgeous building with lots of history. ????
