I love to style trays. They are so versatile and come in so many different shapes and sizes. I think they are a great foundation for a little grouping on the kitchen countertop, coffee table, and dining table. If you like to display lots of smaller things, adding some type of tray is a must in my opinion. It groups the little items together and makes them look a little less cluttery. I recently styled two different trays with two different looks over on social media. And, of course, I wanted to share it all here as well. So today, I am calling this post….
I have so many different trays that I have collected throughout the years. I personally love the type that add a totally different texture to my space. Maybe it’s because I use a lot of white within my decor. But for the first look, I chose this huge seagrass tray that I have had for over a year now. It is not only perfect for displaying items in your home decor, but it’s great to use, too. We carry snacks and drinks out to the porch with this tray. And, it adds the warmth I love with all of my white.
After I had my base, I started adding layers of different items that I use regularly. It’s also something that I love to do. If you have a set of really pretty dishes or silverware, add them to your home decor. You will use them a lot more because they are right at your fingertips. Plus you get to see them daily rather them being tucked away in a drawer.
Seagrass Tray / Pedestal / Set of Dishes / Gold Coffee Spoons / Artificial Fern / Candle Stick / Candle / Linen Napkins / Felt Hearts
I started with a completely different type of tray than I am used to. This one adds more of a rustic feel. It is made from weathered wood and metal type handles. It’s a smaller size than the seagrass one above, which is perfect for smaller dining tables. Which is what I styled this one for. And as you can see, I added a lot of things to this tray that you would need at the kitchen table, including my favorite salt cellar, wood pepper grinder, butter dish, etc.
Wood Tray / Butter Dish / Stack of Dishes / Cheese Knife Set / Linen Napkins / Salt Cellar / Wood Pepper Mill / Wooden Beads / Flower Urn / Paper White Flowers
Did you see the last time I shared a few different ways to style something? I love sharing things like this because it is is a great creative outlet for me. I will be sharing more things like this so let me know if there is anything you would like for me to do next.
ALSO… I have another tray styling look that I am going to be doing specifically for the newsletter people. So if you don’t receive our weekly emails and Sunday newsletters, you are going to want to sign up. You will not only get that exclusive content, but THREE OF you will have a chance to win the wooden tray that I styled in LOOK NUMBER TWO. I love both, but number 1 gets my vote. Love the basket.
I agree; definitely #1 has my vote.
I like #2 with a fuller look👍
I love both but my favorite is #1 because I love the seagrass tray.
Look #1 has my heart!! I love everything about this display! I love the texture of the first one, hands down. I love the little hearts so much too.
I like both! Love baskets! I was on the vid you did from Walmart! Bought that tray. I’m going to do one more like the one you did in it! Valentines influenced somewhat!
Hope you do more of those Walmart vids. You found great items. I’ve looked today and haven’t had the luck you had! I got the tray and butter dish (damaged). They are replacing the dish and told me to keep the damaged one. Ordered simple white sheers, changed my mind ordered something more expensive! They told me to just keep the cheaper panels (only 1 window and really cheap). So all is good. The bedspread is coming! Ordered a bathroom rug too!
Voting for #1, the Seagrass tray. You definitely have a gift for arranging and decorating!
My vote goes for seagrass tray! 😁
I love the seagrass tray styling! Love the fern and candle!!
Defiantly #1 the different heights work well together.
They are both so yummy!!! Gotta go with number one😊 love me a pedestal ! Looking forward to seeing number 3👯♂️
Love both. Number one is my favorite. ❤️
I love all the trays you arrange. I do so many myself. I use a lot of cloches on mine, and do them all over the house. You inspire me greatly and I love all your ideas! I look everyday at what you do. I can never get enough of you showing your new home!!!
I love #1.. especially the pop of color and natural element that the plant provides. And the texture of the woven tray. But truly both are fabulous!
I love look number 2! Love the wood!
Love the sea grass tray, perfect for our beach house ❤️
I really love tray style 2 with that adorable butter dish.
This is so difficult but I absolutely love number 2 I love the thought of having everything you need for a meal right on the table makes life a little simpler and you can enjoy each other❤️❤️❤️
I love #2, I love how you add height and texture and fill the space. I can see this on a table for brunch; add flowers, good food and family!
I forgot my good thing, my husband fixed our tankless hot water heater after 5 days of playing little house on the prairie 😂
LOVE them all but my favorite is # 1
Best thing that happened to me last week was I cleaned out my disaster of a closet & my laundry room closet as well! Got the shelving units from HSN that you recommended & they are awesome!!!
I love both, it’s hard to pick a favorite. I guess #2 would be mine if I had to pick though.
I definitely would love more of the Walmart lives.
Gotta vote for #2. Love that it is functional with needed items and looks fabulous too!
Love look #1, that seagrass tray!! Love❤️
I favor #1.
Brenda
I loved the first tray staging. The wicker, woods and whites were just so warm and inviting. It made me want to sit down with a cup of coffee and something yummy to eat…
I love tray#2. The best thing that happened to me was my husband understood it had been a rough week at work so he told me to dress nice and took me out to dinner.
Love both trays but 1 is my favorite with the tall riser with plates on it. Love following y’all😊
I choose tray number 2, even though I love(and ordered) the felt hearts! Was going to buy them last year when you featured them but couldn’t swing it. This year, GOT ‘EM👏
I love both of them! If I had to choose probably #1 for the added textures.
I forgot to add one good thing that happened to me this week – my husband surprised me at work and took me to lunch!
Love both, and your styling is on point, but then again, we already knew that 🙂
I love both trays but my favorite is look #2. That wooden tray with metal handles speaks to me. Love it. You have such a good eye for decor. I also absolutely love your new home and especially the kitchen. Well done!
I love both, the 2nd one gets my vote for the pretty look and functionality of it holding everyday table items … less work setting the table 🙌🏻
Look number 1 is my favorite. The felt hearts are adorable
Love the round basket one I just love baskets!!! I love your home beautiful!!
I love them both, but I like #2 because it is so functional having everything on it that you might need at the table.
Look number 2 is my favorite. I love the look of mixing woods and metals.
Gray 2 for me – I do similar settings for my charcuterie spreads ❤️ it!!! This would be an awesome add 🥰
Best thing for the week, grand babies stayed the night last night, we made scones and glazed this morning-wouldn’t our scones look beautiful on that tray. Wink 😉
#1 seagrass tray. You two always style everything so beautifully. My teacher, from my GED class ,told me that I did a great job on my math problems last week ❤
I love both looks, but if I had to pick, it would be #2!! Love you girls! Such inspirations you are!
I love them all, but, the third one is my favorite. It’s just got a lot of good things in it. I love how you always style usable things.
I like the first look best I think, the organic feel of the plant 🪴 fern 🤍
What is my favorite both of you 🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍
Soooo pretty! The huge sea grass 🌊 tray is my preferred style!
I absolutely love the texture coming from that sea grass tray!!
I vote for tray #2. Handy for kitchen use
I like both for different reasons. I just love how you add so much texture, height, and display things we can use on a daily basis, not just for looks. Love all the ideas you give us weekly. My good thing for the week was we started up Farmers Dog for our dog Daisy, because of you, and she loves it!!!! Yay!!
Love everything about tray #1. And love following along with you!
I think tray 1 was my favorite. I really liked the tray and the gold accent from the spoons and the green plant.
One good thing this week is I started cleaning out our bonus room which has become like our attic or a storage unit! It’s not nearly done but you have to start somewhere!
Thankful for feeling better today and congestion is almost gone!!
Changed my mind and love #2 the best because I would put it on the table with a low lazy susan so everyone could reach the butter, etc. !! Love ya’ll’s decor! 😉
Love the look of Tray #2. It looks so inviting. I want to sit down by it and enjoy a warm scone with butter and jam.
I like tray #1. The felt hearts got me!
I love both of the trays but if I had to pick one it would be number #1 . The textures of everything just makes it feel homey!
I took all of my winter/ Christmas decor down this week and moved into spring decor. I found some pink depression glass that I had forgotten about and in coordinated into my decor with bunnies. Added a few small trees & Easter eggs that I had, turned out very
cute!
Love your creative ideas – look forward to your emails💕
I originally thought I liked look number 1 but now I think I love them both!
Very pretty and creative
Laura
I am new to your instagram and LOVE your style, tips, music :), etc. You are beyond inspirational on ideas even something so simple as adding a plant or paperwhites. I am so happy to have joined your feed and emails.
Love number 2
Thankful for my grandkids
I love the first one. My style and things I would use and have!! They are all great though!
No 2 is a win for me. I have less space between my countertop and cabinet bottom where I would put something like this and need shorter items. I have a pretty ice bucket that I put an artificial trailing plant. The look would be perfect.
I love them all, but if I have to choose #2. It’s difficult though because I love everything about your displays!
Love both but #2 speaks to me. I love that you use items that you use everyday. Practical and pretty!
Good thing that happened to me is I actually started decluttering!
Tray #1. I love your style!
Love any and everything you cattle but I choose number l. Love the sea grass and the fern!
Love them both, but number 3 is my favorite from your newsletter that I subscribe to. 🙂
I love style #1. Love the items you used and the sea grass tray is so beautiful!
I love them all but would pick #2. I can use the items daily on my table and it would be beautiful to look at.
I prefer look #2 I like the wooden try with the more industrial look with the metal handles. Love the square desert plates
♥️♥️♥️#2. I know just where to put it too♥️♥️♥️
# 1 is my fav! Both are beautiful.
I love both tray styles but #2 is my favorite!
I love the rustic look of #2. It looks so cozy and inviting 😊.
The look with the elevated cake platter is my fave. I enjoy your idea sharing so much, very inspirational. Thank you!
I love Look 2 because it is very elegant looking with the wooden tray and the silver champagne holder with the paper white bulbs. Elegant yet doable.
I love the look of the elevated cake plate. You are such an inspiration!
