Vintage Looking Laundry Room Sink and Faucet

Things are wrapping up in our new/old build.  I say “new/old build” because while it is a new build, we added lots of things to make it look old.  That was one of our goals.  We wanted to build a new house as maintenance free as we possibly could for the future.  By adding old doors, antique fireplace mantels,  and antique corbels in the kitchen, I think we accomplished that old feel.  We really wanted an old cast iron sink for our laundry room, as well.  While there are lots of antique cast iron sinks still around, a lot of them are in terrible shape.  And, they would have needed a lot of work.  I was looking online for a new vintage looking sink and faucet and found exactly what I wanted on Vintage Tub and Bath.

I wanted to share today what it looks like because the laundry room is almost done!

Vintage Looking Laundry Room Sink and Faucet

30-INCH CAST IRON HIGH BACK FARM SINK

Our original design of this laundry room was going to include an antique cabinet with the 30″ Cast Iron High Back Farm Sink from Vintage Tub and Bath.  This sink is really versatile because it can be hung directly on the wall or dropped down in a countertop.  If you want it hung directly on the wall, you can choose from many color choices on the exterior.  We didn’t find an antique cabinet big enough to work for this space. So we went with the cabinets that we have in our kitchen.  And, I am so glad we did.

This sink is constructed of heavy-duty cast iron and is excellent quality.  Many people who have seen this sink and faucet have said how gorgeous it is.  And, I have to agree.  It is coated with a layer of porcelain enamel to ensure resistance to chipping and scratching. It has a high back which gives it that old-time feel.   Remember what I said above… we wanted maintenance free but something that looked old.  This sink hit all of our requirements.

This farm sink will be perfect for soaking any clothes that need pre-treated.  And, it is directly off of the garage, so it will be a perfect stop to wash our hands when we come in from outside.

WALL MOUNTED BRIDGE KITCHEN FAUCET

If we have an vintage looking sink, we most definitely needed a vintage looking faucet.  The wall mounted bridge kitchen faucet from Vintage Tub and Bath worked perfectly for our sink.  It comes in three different colors including oil rubbed bronze, chrome, and brushed nickel.  I love the way the oil rubbed bronze looks with all of our white in our home.  It has a premium finish which resists tarnishing and corroding.  I love the cross handles as they are reminiscent of the old styles.

Our vintage looking laundry room is exactly how I wanted it to be.  It is very functional and the vintage looking sink and faucet will be maintenance free for many years to come.
