I recently grabbed several fall wreaths from Amazon. And I had this idea as I was sharing them over on social media to share with you actually where I style wreaths around our home. They aren’t just for your front door!
ALSO…. I used photos from my old posts BECAUSE this cottage is bursting at the seams. We have so many items for the new house laying around and we have totally outgrown this space. And, it’s really hard to snap photos when there is JUNK (as Deb calls it) lying around everywhere.
This is one of my favorite places to hang a wreath – on the front of a china cabinet in front of a large collection. I do this a lot. Here in this space in the cottage last fall and then again in the entry way.
Do you remember the kitchen in our old house? It was my all-time favorite of any kitchens we have lived in thus far. The new kitchen is going to be my favorite of all time. Not only due to the size of the area, but we have a 12′ antique store counter that we will be using as our kitchen island. Similar to this one above. AND, the kitchen shares a fireplace with the dining room. That is always something I have wanted… a fireplace in the kitchen. If you missed the layout with all of the details, you can catch that here.
Speaking of our old kitchen… remember our pantry. I had a wreath hanging on that pantry door to somewhat disguise what was inside. Even though it was organized pretty well, I liked that wreath there. It was hung with a command strip which is the easiest way to hang wreaths pretty much anywhere. I had one hanging on the sliding half bathroom door, as well.
Deb and I made this spice cabinet out of an old door that we found on the Marketplace. The guy we bought it from thought it was maybe an attic door from an old house. It worked perfectly for our spice cabinet in the rental. I have a different idea for the house, so stay tuned for that.
This random exterior door happens to be of our chicken coop at the old house. Have you been watching us build the new one here? We have been working hard here and there but there is only so much time in the day. And our days FLY!
One of my favorite things to do is add a wreath to a headboard. They can be changed out with the seasons and it dresses a plain old headboard up and adds so much interest.
If it is a blank space, hang a wreath on it. It’s my go to for any type of pizzaz. Here, I hung one on an old barn vent and in front of a picture frame, which gives you a bunch of layers… which adds more texture.
Another easy way to spruce up a space with a wreath is add it around something within your decor. Here I placed a rabbit bust in the middle of one. You can always use a huge candle, as well. I’ve done that a lot, too.
Adding a wreath to your exterior porch light really jazzes up your porch without too much fuss. I remember being FREEZING cold when I decorated this space and it took me a few minutes.
I hope this gives you lots of ideas and inspiration for your own home.
