Antique Haul from the 127 Yard Sales on Day One

You know how much I love sharing my antique hauls.  I love seeing other people’s antique hauls and what they do with their items.  Also the prices are so different throughout the country so I love sharing that, as well.  This year’s 127 yard sales did not disappoint.  I shared a lot of information in yesterday’s post about the yard sales.  I shared what and when it is and what route we usually take.  Today, I wanted to share our antique haul from the 127 yard sales on day one.  And, in upcoming posts, I will share what I actually did with my finds.  So keep watching for those.

Antique Haul from the 127 Yard Sales on Day One

Antique Dresser

We found so many great things for great prices. I have been keeping my eyes peeled for an antique piece that we could use in our guest room for a side table.  This little antique dresser is adorable and I sort of hate to have it upstairs where I won’t see it every day, but for now, it will be.  It was marked $75.  I asked if she could do a little better on the price and she said she would take $60.  I don’t have to do anything to it so this was a deal for me.

Antique Spongeware

I rarely find my favorite antique spongeware and if I do, it’s usually in an antique mall.  However, I found two pieces at the same flea market in different booths.  I honestly couldn’t believe it.  And, the prices were excellent.  I found the bowl for only $10 and the little pitcher was $6.. but he took $5.  At antique malls, you can’t pick them up for less than $30 and I rarely see them anymore.

See my entire collection here.

White Chippy Bird Bath

I shared this yard sale in stories and it was actually the very first one we stopped at.  I couldn’t believe it when I saw the tag of this white chippy bird bath.  It was only $5.  Of course, we had to have it.  There are so many places I can think of using it in our yard so stay tuned for that as I will definitely share where it ends up.  Can you believe it was only $5.

Vintage Croquet Balls

These vintage croquet balls were also at the first garage sale we stopped at.  I love collecting items like this. They add so much interest when you add them to an antique bowl.  And, these colors will look really great in my fall decor.  They were only $3 for all 3.   I will take them, thank you!

Vintage Nail Barrel

Deb fell in love with this old nail barrel from Continental Steel Corp in Kokomo, Indiana.  We grabbed this at, again, the first sale we stopped at.  It was marked $15 and the lady said it was her mom’s and she hated to sell it but she and her hubs were downsizing. I love the print on the top.  I have a feeling I will find a great place for it in the house.

Vintage Chippy Black Hanging Light

I completely fell in LOVE with this gorgeous chippy black hanging light.  It’s huge and pretty heavy and was marked $45.  The guy said he would take $40 for it which sealed the deal for the purchase.  I wonder if you can figure out where I want to hang this. Let me know in the comments if you have a guess and stay tuned because I will share if it works where I’m thinking.

Antique Brass Chandelier

You know my love for antique brass chandeliers.  Well.. we were short one for our upstairs bathroom.  So, I should have included that on the list of things that we were looking for.  But, this is a steal for only $35. It doesn’t have the crystals, but we will be picking those up to add to it.

This little metal lamp is so dang cute.  I set it here on our kitchen island to see what it would look like plugged in and fell more in love with it. The top has a lacy detail around it and I think it matches my style so well.  This was $20 at a flea market along Highway 127 and I didn’t think that was bad at all.

Antique Rustic Lantern

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this antique rustic lantern.  I have an idea where I want it and in fact, Deb said she would hang it tonight.  So stay tuned.  It was $65 at the same place that we bought the brass chandelier.  And, the nice lady who was selling it us actually follows us on social media.  So it was an added bonus that we met a follower.  I cannot wait to get this hung.

Antique Basket

You know I am a huge sucker for antique baskets.  I love not only using them within my decor but they look really good on top of antique cabinets, etc.  This one was only $5 which is a steal.  I love this style and shape.

2 Antique Bowls with Wire Handles

These 2 antique bowls were only $10 each.  They will look really good in my fall decor that I have planned.  And, I am pretty sure that I have one like it in my stash somewhere.

Majolica Planter

I have a collection of majolica planters that I started years ago.  They can be pretty pricey so I grab them when I find them for under $15.  This one was $10. I love the greens and earth tones of them.

Fake Cherry Pie

You have NO IDEA how excited I was to find this.  You know I have a thing for artificial baked goods.  Ha!  I have a whole cake that I decorate with a lot.  I’ve looked at pies before and they are pretty pricey.  This one was $10 so I grabbed it.  It will look adorable under my domed cake plate.  Come to think of it, I made one of these back in the mid-90s out of salt dough, except I think it was a blueberry pie.

The 127 Yard Sale is such a highlight for us.  We just have so much fun.  It is a tradition for us.  Again.. this year did not disappoint. I hope you love these little antique hauls as much as I love sharing them.  This was our finds from day one.  If we find anything on day 2, which is when we head back home, I will share in another post. I will also be sharing where all of these items land over on social media as well as here.

Thank you for stopping by our website as I greatly appreciate it.

  • I can’t believe the prices up there!! Here where I live, near Round Top , Texas , you just don’t find prices like that. I knew you’d get that $5 birdbath when I saw it in stories. I would have too. The great big lantern light? Hmmm…my guess is that y’all will hang it from the garden entrance column arbor. You got a lot of amazing pieces at amazing prices!

  • I like everything you showed, but I especially like that basket and the little lamp. Both grabbed my feels.
    Thanks for sharing.

  • I love everything you bought. The big fixture I think you’re gonna put it in your stairway.
