Dining Room Refresh to Spring

I loved all of my Winter decor so much this year and had nothing but a forest of trees everywhere.  I should have counted them, but just know it was A LOT.  The cutest trees kept jumping in my cart in the least likely of places so I kept buying them.  But, that’s that… and I’m done.  Along with being done with the Winter scenes, I’m trying to purge ALL OF THE THINGS I no longer want.  As I spruce up each room with Spring-like decor, I’m also going through all of the cabinets, drawers and closets and  are getting organized.  I can take no more.  Besides, I want to be able to sit outside under the pergola real soon with everything inside being all refreshed.

Dining Room Refresh to Spring

The new rug really adds a different look than before, and I’m loving it.  It changed the feeling tremendously.  I’m loving the contrast between the dark and the lights of it.  And the warm brown tones really bring out the color of my antique pieces in the dining room.

I took a different method to decorating the table.  I was tired of one long centerpiece and figured I would poop it up on each side.  ???? . We really don’t even sit at that table with just the two of us.  We normally sit at the breakfast nook table.  It gets used when the kids come over, but we will just move it all when that happens.  I moved my big concrete rabbit to the side so it looks out in the kitchen and it really makes me happy when I look out there and see him.  Yes, he is an outside rabbit, but ????????‍♀️.  I love bringing outside things inside because it makes everything a lot more interesting.

I added a few new textured pillows and a few tall cherry blossom stems to a big vintage jug.  Both of these items were impossible to pass up.  They add so much for so little money.

Greenery

I love adding artificial greenery everywhere, by tucking them in cabinets, buckets, and bowls.  Greenery is usually what stays out most of the year until Fall and Winter.  And, I add different artificial fruits….  green apples and pears are my faves.  Could it be that they are green and gold which is the same colors of all of my decor?  Maybe!

This time of year, I am always filled with hope.  The misery of Winter is almost done.  I have friends who LOVE Winter and hate Summer and I just don’t get that.  ????  Spring times brings starts of new plants, gardening, and the ability to breathe fresh air.  I am so excited and this Spring refresh in the dining room is making me happy and ready for ALL THE THINGS Spring.

SHOP SIMILAR ITEMS

Most of my items are vintage with a few things thrown in here and there that aren’t.  I always try to replicate some of them so you can recreate this look in your house.  I made it so you can click the photos below to purchase.  Check sizes!
