We had a driveway doorbell alarm at our last two homes.  The big house in the country had one at the end of the driveway. Once it detected cars pulling in, it would ring a doorbell in the house.  Which gave us ample time to put our bras on… or hide.  ????   Whichever option was more fitting at the time.  We had one at our last house at the end of the short driveway in town.  It detected anything.  I thought Deb was ridiculous when she said she wanted one for there because the driveway was short.  We learned to appreciate that thing so much.  When we heard that doorbell, we KNEW someone was out there.

Driveway doorbell alarms calm my nerves when I think I hear someone pull in the driveway.  If the doorbell goes off, I KNOW someone is there.  If it doesn’t, it gives me peace of mind.

Driveway Doorbell Alarm by Guardline Security

Deb did TONS of research.  We found Guardline Security fit all of our needs.   There are specific things that we needed for our situation.  We have five acres and a long driveway.  So, we had to take that into consideration.  We also wanted it to detect humans.  Several of the ones we found can only detect large metal objects, which would be worthless if a person is walking down the driveway.  (If you hang it high enough, it won’t detect small animals.)  We needed one that worked without WiFi and we didn’t want it to be an all day affair to install.  This driveway doorbell has 30 melodies, which is pretty cool.  Our last ones had one.

AND…. Our Guardline has four zones.  We can add four sensors to each zone which would be 16 total.  That may sound like overkill for some people, but it’s perfect for huge properties with walking trails, different entrances, etc.   Each zone can be set with a different ring tone, too.  So, we will know if someone is walking in the side of the woods.   We will be alerted from all areas.  ????

I’ve talked about installing a driveway doorbell alarm on Instagram for a few months now and we finally got it done.  And, I couldn’t wait to share it with you.  They are a total must in my book!

Check them out!  Guardline also has smaller range ones if your driveway is shorter.
