Kevin Murphy Hair Care Products – Deb’s Favorite

If you’ve been following us over on Instagram,  you all know Deb has been trying some new hair care products.  Some of you asked what products she was using because her hair actually looks different.  I know you can’t feel her hair, but know that it feels different, too.  ????

She is pretty picky about what she uses as far as hair care products these days.  Because, let’s be truthful.  Old ladies need all the help we can get.  I believe, the more you let things go south on their own, the farther south they stay, and the harder they are to spring back in the northern direction.  ????  If you take care of a few things, it slows the process of the whole package being in the gutter… you know what I’m sayin’.

Hair is an easy thing to keep north if you take good care of it!  She has recently been using Kevin Murphy hair products and they have completely changed the way her hair looks.

Kevin Murphy Hair Products – “Skincare for your Hair”

I’m not going to get into Kevin Murphy’s entire philosophy but will tell you this much.   His products are naturally sulphate free, paraben free and cruelty free.  He focuses on keeping the packaging recyclable and biodegradable and uses square packaging to hold more volume.  AND….. they are scented with essential oils.  ❤

Deb’s Favorite Hair Care Products

Kevin Murphy has a whole line of different products for different hair types so I am only reviewing the products that we have been using personally.  I wanted to use them for a while before I gave away the big secret because I wanted to get a real good feel for them.

The following are my honest opinions about the products that I’ve been using personally.

Affiliate links are included for your convenience.

Plumping Wash / Plumping Rinse – Deb is the one that needs the plumping. ???? Her hair is stick straight and a lot thinner than mine so she uses the plumping wash and rinse. Who better to ask about what she thinks of the products than Deb herself.  So, I’m quoting her, “Most of the time, thin hair, that is soft, is not a good thing.  But this shampoo and conditioner makes my hair softer and more manageable.  And, I love the smell.”

Body Builder Volumising Mousse – This mousse is Deb’s single most favorite product in the Kevin Murphy line.  Deb uses this daily.  It leaves her hair soft, but gives it a lot of volume without feeling weighed down.

Young Again Oil – I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!   I use this occasionally.  I apply a little of this oil to my hair when it’s wet and then a little more again when it’s dry during high humidity days.  It remedies all of my little fly-away hairs (aka stick-straight gray hairs  ☹️)  and gives it a great shine making my hair look very healthy.  I like this for day 2 and 3 hair, too.  See my confession below!

Fresh Hair – Hi, I’m Danelle.  And I hate washing my hair! ????????  I have used this dry shampoo between washings for several weeks now and love it.  It removes any excess oil… and makes it smell fresh, allowing me to trick people into thinking it is freshly washed.  ????

Doo Over – This is a dry finishing hairspray that Deb sprays on her hair at the roots for a great lift.  It also gives her hair a lot of texture.

Session Spray –  This is a lightweight finishing hairspray.    It’s great for not weighing your hair down.

Other Things I’ve Noticed

I’ve noticed a few other things about her hair since I started using Kevin Murphy products.  It looks so much more healthy.  As I said above several times, the scent is wonderful.  It’s not overpowering and it just smells natural.  (The smell is what Deb has commented on a lot.)  I haven’t used this personally but have heard amazing things about the “thick again” line he has.

You can check out his other products and even get sample sizes if you want to try the product before investing in a bigger bottle.  I’m anxious to see what you all think.  Let me know in the comments if you have tried this line or have any questions.  I would love to hear from you.  Or, as always, you can chat with me over on Facebook and Instagram, too!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I appreciate it so much and pledge my love!

Buh bye now,

Danelle

  • I love Kevin Murphy products! The angel wash is great for blonde color treated hair. And they have a texture product that does great beachy wave hair! So glad you tried it and love it too, haven’t heard many people trying it outside of professional salons.

    • I LOVE it.... I will pass along the angel wash information. I haven't personally tried that but love everything I've tried.

  • Loved your reviews! I have much shorter hair, but it has a natural wave and has a mind of its own. It's a definite struggle. Maybe some new hair products are in order ????

  • My hair dresser uses/sells Kevin Murphy everything. It’s pricey but great stuff! The sample bottles are way cute too!! :)

  • I'm going to look into these products because...well, you know my hair. But after over 25 years of thyroid hell, the hair is starting to thin too much for my comfort.

  • I am totally gray (have always used Enjoy products) and starting using KM hair products about 3 months ago and it’s AMAZEBALLS!!!

If your salon gets credit for KM sales I’d be happy to buy from them cuz I can’t find a salon here in a IdaHO who sells KM.

    • I believe my salon is a bit cheaper than Amazon. At least it used to be. So all you have to do is send them a message on IG...
