Did you know that I have another collection out with Antique Farmhouse. It is so good! All of the pieces in the collection go so well with my woods and whites theme. I actually shared all about it over on social media stories and shared a few different things you could do with a few of the pieces. It’s something I love to do. I love to take every day items and use them within my decor so that they aren’t tucked away into a cabinet. And I feel like I get my money’s worth by using it more. One of the items I shared yesterday was a book stand from the collection. So, today, I want to share four different ways to use a book stand.
Did you see when I shared six different ways to use a cake pedestal within your decor? I also shared nine different ways to style wreaths, too. With me talking about styling a book stand, you may be thinking… “Do you think we are dumb?” Ha! No, I don’t. But, the reason I like to share simple things like this is to also get your mind churning for other ways that I haven’t thought of and to spark creativity in you.
I believe this bookstand is actually for a cookbook. So, you can use it for it’s original intent. When you are cooking or baking and following a recipe, this comes in so handy. It keeps your recipe book out of the way and upright so you can see it easier. When you are done baking, leave it out on the counter and display your favorite book, whether it be a recipe book or otherwise.
This is something that I use my book holder a lot for. I love to display small pictures within my decor on my countertop. This is a perfect way to add seasonal items to your decor without starting over from scratch. I have my rabbit picture (also from the collection) displayed for the spring months and love how it looks. It makes me happy when I see it every day. The good thing about this is when I want to use it as it’s intended purpose, I simply remove it from my decor. And, replace it when I’m done.
I recently found all of my home decor books during our move. They make me so happy. I find myself picking them up every now and then and browsing for new ideas. This is one of my favorite places here in the dining room to drink a cup of coffee in the afternoon. The pictures in my books are so pretty that I thought… why not display them. That way I can see them every time I walk by or every time I sit down. It also adds height to my low coffee table.
You know I have a lot of collections. So I am always figuring out different ways to display them within our home. You could showcase one of your favorite dishes or platters on a book holder, as well. If you collect albums, use it for a stack of albums and rotate them regularly. That would sure add a lot of interest to your decor.
If you use your book holder for anything else, let me know in the comments. And, let me know if there is anything else you want me to talk about in the future. It truly is one of my favorite things to share.
