We haven’t had a place for guests to stay for several years now. When we sold our old house, we moved to the rental. We had no room for guests to stay. After the rental, we moved here to the cottage, which is only one bedroom and one bathroom. If one of my girls comes from out of town, she has to sleep on the couch. I am BEYOND excited to have not one, but TWO guest rooms, and a guest bathroom at the new house. I grabbed a few items from Bed Bath & Beyond to get everything I need for our guests to feel at home.
First off, Bed Bath & Beyond is a one stop shop when it comes to pretty much everything. Bedding, bathroom items, kitchen essentials, they have it all. Bed Bath & Beyond has excellent prices, and they also have great sales where you can save even more money. I put together a list of items that I would LOVE to have at my fingertips while staying at some place other than home.
Let me share what I found.
This towel warmer warms up towels in less than 15 minutes. It holds two large bath towels and has a timer and an automatic shut off. What guest wouldn’t feel at home with this towel warmer. I cannot wait to have someone over and for them to use this.
Again… I wanted something pretty to add to my decor and also be useful. These glass apothecary jars come in several different sizes and adds to the clean look and feel of a guest bathroom
I LOVE adding plants in the bathroom to give it some life. This artificial pothos plant is a good one with it’s two-toned leaves. It looks cute beside the sink, behind the toilet, or on a shelf.
I love a good tray to add to my decor and this one works perfectly. It can hold several smaller items and would also work in the guest room on a side table to hold jewelry, cell phones, etc.
Storage is always a must in a guest room. I wanted to have something to hold extra essentials that would match my style. These white metal jars are adorable and perfect for extra toothpaste, cotton swabs, and cotton balls.
Every guest bath needs an extra robe or two. I grabbed this Haven waffle robe to have available just in case one of my guests needs it.
Everyone needs extra bath and hand towels so I grabbed a few extra sets for the guest bathroom. These are 100% Egyptian cotton, come in several colors and are really soft.

As for other items for guests: extra toothbrushes and mini toothpastes, little sample sizes of shampoo, conditioner, body wash soap, and maybe some earplugs?! Lol (just in case they are getting a really good night’s sleep out in the woods and start snoring! Lol)

I saw something clever on someone’s stories where they used drawer dividers and put in extra toothbrushes, toothpastes, several one pack of neutragena makeup remover cloths, a few disposable razors, contact lens cases, and travel size contact lens solution. I thought it was pretty clever and I always forget one or more of those things! Beautiful choices for your guests btw!

I love when I stay at a friend’s house and she has a turbee twist for guests. A fluffy white “turban” to wrap up my wet hair.
Also, she puts out 3 or 4 small (not votives but single wick) candles and a lighter so I can have a candle burning. If you’re concerned someone might be careless with a candle, what about a diffuser with a handful of oils to choose from.
She always has current magazines near the bed that I enjoy reading at night.

Handheld magnifying mirror, tissues, disposable paper bath cups/dispenser, Poo-pourri, disposable make-up wipes or a dark washcloth monogrammed with the word "Make-up", travel/hotel size toiletries. Store all in a vintage basket/container and tagged "Help Yourself"
