How I Styled my Footed Serving Board

How to Style a Footed Serving BoardHow to Style a Footed Serving Board

I have met so many good people since I started my website.  Along with writing my first post on our website on April 1, 2017, I started my social media accounts, as well.  I have talked about The Nested Fig here many times.  And, I’ve shared them in my stories a lot because they have some of the best home decor items.  Well, I got to meet Wesley and Steven, the owners, last year.  We all follow each other on social media and a few weeks ago, they sent me a decorative footed serving board as a housewarming gift.  Of course, I styled it on the dining room table. So today, I wanted to share how I styled my footed serving board.

How I Styled my Footed Serving Board

First off… these serving boards are so versatile.  They look fantastic in your home decor and they also are very useful when entertaining.  We don’t entertain a lot because we are a bit anti-social.  Ha! But, keep them in mind for those of you who do.

I decided that I wanted this down the middle of our dining room table to showcase some pretty decor.

Of course, the first thing that I grabbed to add was my favorite double boxwood topiary… and added this other little single boxwood topiary.  They come three to a pack so I will be finding a space for my other ones.. probably in the massive cabinet in the dining room.  I saw my wooden heart bowl and thought it would look not only cute holding my small gold spoons, but it would be very handy.  These spoons are so great for tasting your meals while cooking, dipping out a bit of peanut butter from the jar, etc.  I added a little trivet that came with a set that I am using as a base for my little square dessert platesThese dessert plates also come in handy at the table.

I almost forgot the cute little planter that I found.  It has chicken wire on the outside of it and gives it so much great texture.  I used it as a candle holder.  But, it could also be used to hold the spoons, as well.

I want to style this again sometime soon… but for now, this is what I came up with.  I hope this gave you a few ideas to incorporate into your own home decor.
