Do you remember the last time I shared our Backcountry haul with you? I told you that we wanted to spend more time outdoors because we just mentally feel better. Well, we recently did a little bit of investigating at our friend’s property. We wanted to check out how she has her flower beds laid out on her land, because you know that project is right around the corner for us at the woods. She happens to have a covered bridge on her property. So we had to take that opportunity to share it with you. Her property is gorgeous! Wait until you see the inside of the covered bridge…. it’s pretty cool.
Backcountry is a premium outdoor and lifestyle retailer that carries our FAVORITE outdoor brands. They are our go-to website to shop for outerwear. I shared our Fall Favorites, some great pieces to keep cozy and warm, and some sporty outerwear we are loving. We picked up a few more pieces from Backcountry and thought we would share.
Backcountry Gear Apparel is on SALE – UP TO 40% OFF – Ends February 3
MARMOT JACKET: If you’re in the market for a new winter jacket, I highly recommend investing in this one. Yes… it’s an investment, but it’s worth every single penny. I love the long length and the hood. It comes in 3 colors, including black, teal, and light pink.
NORTH FACE JACKET: This down jacket by North Face is one of my all-time favorite purchases. It is the warmest jacket I’ve ever owned and is perfect for winter and is also water resistant. This jacket also comes in 3 colors, including black, white, and neutral camouflage.
SOREL BOOTS (HIKING BOOTS & CHELSEA BOOTS): Whether it’s an explorer hiking boot or a chic everyday boot, Sorel has the very best. Both of these options come in multiple different colors and shades so there’s something for everyone.
SWEATERS (BROWN SWEATER & TUNIC SWEATER): Deb and I love sweaters. Both of these happen to be up to 35% off right now, making them under $70 which is an incredible deal for high-quality pieces. Also, these tops are perfect for layering since they have a turtleneck for added warmth.
PANTS: Offered in 9 different colors, these trouser-inspired pants can be worn for active or casual wear. They are made of a stretchy fabric and are moisture-wicking and wrinkle-resistant so perfect for travel, too. They’re currently 35% off. Deb loves these pants so much that she has them in three colors: green, blue, and black. They fit true to size.
GLOVES: These wool and nylon gloves by Pendleton are great for all the chilly or overcast winter days. They come in black and brown and are under $50 – a good steal for real wool gloves. Of course they have touchscreen fingers which allow you to use your devices without complications.
I asked the owner of the property what the history was on this sign since we are in Indiana and the sign says Pennsylvania.
Quoted from the owner of the property:
“Back in about 1987, 2 guys were driving by and spied the covered bridge. They were with the national covered bridge society, so they registered it. And they were from Pennsylvania.”
