Spring Decor

Simple Spring Mantel

I told you that I was into decorating for spring.  Decorating is something that I have to be in the mood for.  My creative is strange.  If I am not really in the mood, it will not happen.  I can’t force it.  So when I started feeling like I wanted to add a little spring, I figured I better jump on those feelings.  Did you see the flower arrangement on the kitchen island I made?  That is what originally got me in the mood.

Simple Spring Mantel

Today I threw together a spring mantel using artificial flowers and candlesticks.  It is SO SIMPLE… but I think it is the picture that I added to the frame tv that stole the show.  I was looking for a new one to apply as a screen saver and when this one popped up, I thought it looked pretty cool.  It is totally unlike me.  LOL

I started with these artificial flowers that I had in my stash already. Some of these are unavailable but I found some similar ones and linked them here if you are interested.   I added them to some old rusty containers that I have had for awhile.

Do you recognize the large candlesticks?  They were some of our transformation Tuesday pieces.  And, I love how they turned out.  I added another wooden candlestick to each side of the mantel and then, of course, added my favorite flameless tapers.  And then, of course, added the bird picture to the television.  I talked about our television here if you missed it.

So what do you think?  I have so many more things I will be sharing for spring and I can’t wait.

  • It looks great! I can relate to feeling it some days and not feeling it others. I blame winter and the lack of sunshine. What a nice pick me up tho when things are changed up!

  • I really like the look of the mantle. It’s simple but elegant. Where on earth did you find Rusty cans on the farm? Would’ve never thought to use a rusty old can to decorate with very creative.

  • Since you asked, I think the birds in the picture are way too big. They are huge. The trees are blurred as the birds are the focus. The frame is lovely though. I'd definitely change out the bird picture.

  • I don't comment often, but I LOVE that picture!!! I am thinking about a new tv, so I have considered one of those. Also, in your newest post, that entryway is perfect!!! Everything fits so well together! The entryway rug, is that a Ruggable? I love the colors :-)

Thank you so much for taking your time to do these letters. Have a great day!
