Did you see what our home decor room looks like? I shared a few pictures over on this post. It is a lot fuller now than it was in that post. Because we are slowly, but surely, bringing things here to the house that are in the storage unit…. including a huge stack of stained and leaded glass windows. I don’t think anyone has ever seen this stained glass window in the laundry room…. even the OGs of the House on Winchester Street. Deb just hung this small stained glass window this week, and I love it. So, I wanted to share it today to maybe give you inspiration for your own homes.
Neither Deb nor I can remember where we bought this small stained glass window. It may have been at the Springfield Extravaganza one year. Nevertheless, I know that it has been over 20 years ago. And I know that I didn’t pay much for it because 20 years ago, I was WAY more frugal than I am now. The funny thing is, I can’t remember it hanging in only but 2 homes that we have lived in. And it was the first two, out of the 8 homes that Deb and I have lived together. I think it may have been stuffed in a closed the rest of the time. And most recently, in the storage unit.
Like I said above, we moved all of our stained glass windows, mirrors, and pictures to the house last week. When I found this little window, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. And, that was hang it in the laundry room.
As you can see, the window has a curved side and a straight side. I’m positive that the curved side is the actual top of the window. And it probably acted as some type of transom above a door or a window. It was almost the same size as the laundry room window with about an inch to spare. I liked the look of it better hung upside down so that’s what we did. The colors are so pretty which I think go well with my neutral palette I have going on here in the house. The one side is painted white and this side is wood tone.
Deb hung this stained glass window for me using open hooks and eye hooks. Because there will be no risk of this falling from one of the grandkids wiggling it, it is the easiest way. And, it took her a matter of minutes.
I love the way this window in the laundry room turned out. I think it gives it such great interest along with extra texture to the space. And, it adds a little bit of color as well. What do you think?

I love it! The window adds a very nice soft touch of color that compliments your room. Beautiful!
The stained glass looks as if it was made for this window…a perfect fit!
Absolutely gorgeous 😍
Ohhhhh myyyyyyy goodness this is PERFECT!! I just love it so much!!
Looks gorgeous like everything else y’all do! Is it heavy? I’ve got one I want to hang but it’s super heavy so I’m afraid it will fall.
This stained glass is perfect. I love this room so much.
Every touch is perfect too. The big jar with the handle is so cool.
Wonderful! I’ve done something similar in my home. The added colour and interest really adds to the space beautifully.
Thank you… and yes, it adds so much.
