Winter Decor

Vintage Brass Christmas Decor

Several weeks ago, I shared a simple Thanksgiving Centerpiece that anyone could put together.  I used a few candlesticks, an artificial fall garland, and real pumpkins.  It took 2 minutes.  And then I shared another Thanksgiving centerpiece look using traditional fall colors.  That one was also simple but was a little more elaborate.  Since we are are in full-on Christmas mode, I wanted to do another look on the dining room table for the new season.  This look isn’t actually a centerpiece, because you would more than likely move it for your Christmas meal.  Unless you don’t really want to see or talk to your guests.. which may be a possibility.  ????

Anyway, I threw together this vintage brass Christmas look for the middle of my table and wanted to share.  Because I know no one who doesn’t like vintage brass items.

Vintage Brass Christmas Decor

Just like the other two looks, I started with a riser, which is the riser that Deb made for me a few years ago.  I shared the dimensions of the riser at the end of this post.  I started with my vintage brass bowl that I grabbed a few weeks ago when I antiqued on the weekend.  And added one of my favorite vintage-looking Christmas trees.

I have said before that I love mixing old bottle brush trees with new ones.  The smaller ones that are beside the little brass bank houses are actually old ones.  I like to pick them up when I see them for a great price.  The larger ones that are displayed in the old wooden box are new ones.  I liked how they all looked in that box.

And then, of course, I always add some type of candlesticks with my favorite candles.  All of these are vintage brass ones that I have picked up here and there.

This dining table centerpieces will change a bajillion times before the end of the season.  But, I saw all of these vintage brass pieces here in the cottage and thought they would look nice all thrown together.  Stay tuned for more Christmas looks.  I have everything out of the tubs and the cottage is still a disaster, but it’s coming along.  Which, speaking of a disaster, did you see this reel?  ????
