We are having a blast moving our antique furniture over here to the new house.  And, we are making it feel exactly like our home.  It’s funny.  I said the other day to Deb, “I can’t believe it.  This place is starting to look like our home.”  Deb said, “It is… and every time we bring more of our decor over here, it has THAT feel.”  It’s true.  The cottage is no longer home because our “stuff” isn’t there.  Well.. half of it is but you get the point.  I recently spruced up our entryway with some of our antique decor and wanted to share that with you today.  So, here is a little corner with all of our woods and whites decor in our entryway.

Woods and Whites Decor in our New Entryway

I want to put some type of cabinet in every room, because I have so many collections.  The entryway has a few smaller walls so this cute little china cabinet fit perfectly here.  We found this many, many years ago during our 127 Yard Sale shopping.  It was pretty inexpensive if I am remembering correctly.  And the finish was in pretty rough shape.  So I decided to strip it once we got home and love how it turned out.

I added my smaller collection of white stoneware bowls to the inside.  I love this collection and add to it whenever I see them for a good price.  This was a collection I started when I was in my early 20s.  I added my vintage wooden egg foolers to one of the bowls.

On top are some of my vintage stoneware crocks with wire handles and a vintage scale. Behind those items is an old picture that I also found during the 127 yard sales this year.  That was my $5 find. Check out the post where I shared my entire haul this year.  The prices at this sale were so strange.

I always get asked about the numbers in the crock.  They are old cash register numbers that I found on Etsy.  I love the way they look in the old crock.

I have a few more items in the entryway but it’s not done yet.  So I want to wait to share the entire space with you when it is.

We will be working on getting everything over here to the new house pretty much every day.  And, remember.. we have an entire storage unit full that we will be moving as well.  So stay tuned where everything winds up.

Thank you for stopping by.  I sure hope this gives you a few ideas for you own spaces.

  • Your decor always brings a smile to my face, I just love it so much. And I love follow!

  • Obsessed with all things old portraits and photos! I found one myself from the late 1800s but in a smaller frame for eight dollars but this single portrait was such a steal with the beautiful gold frame for five dollars! I have also taken a few of my own family photos and printed the black-and-white to give that same, old feel. I just started following your pages but I have already gotten so many ideas! I also loved reading that you found some of your pieces in your early 20s, I too am in my early 20s and hope to have a wonderful collection!

    • That is a steal! Doesn't it make you giddy when you find treasures like that? I am glad you are following along, sounds like we would be best friends!

  • I love your collections and the way you display them all! I started collecting the same stoneware bowls and have 2 with that same sort of diamond pattern. I found a really cool flower pot that seems to match them, which I actually found first. I also started collecting crocks when I find them for good prices as well. One more collection I have is of cream and off-white colored vintage vases and flower pots. A friend I met many years ago while we were both vendors at a vintage market here in So CA gifted her collection to me knowing how much I loved creams and whites!
Anyway, I love everything you share and enjoy seeing your new home come together! 💕

    • Thank you SO much! That all sounds absolutely stunning and I would love to see your collection. It sounds like you have a very sweet friend too. Comments like this make my day, I love learning about our friends on IG. Thank you for being here!

  • I was feeding the neighbors chickens a few years back. I also collected the eggs daily and would bring them home to wash them up before putting them in containers to go in her refrigerator. As I was washing a couple of them, they felt different and I thought one of the chickens was sick or something. After a frantic call to the owner who assuaged my frantic fears….My first and only experience with egg foolers…I didnt even know it was a thing!!
