Winter Decor

A Jingle Bell Christmas Mantel

Is this my first holiday fireplace mantel look?  I think it is.  I know it’s a bit early, so in case you are wondering to yourself why we are decorating for Christmas already, this is why.  A magazine is coming to our home to shoot our holiday looks for their winter, 2024, edition.  It is the same magazine we were in when we lived in our old home.  As you can probably guess, it takes a lot to get prepared for a magazine. There will be a lot of tweaking up until the day they arrive for the shoot.  I recently created a jingle bell Christmas mantel in the kitchen and I wanted to share that today.

A Jingle Bell Christmas Mantel

I recently got this giant jingle bell garland in the mail from Antique Farmhouse and legit gasped when I pulled them from the box.  They are STUNNING!  The detail on each bell is gorgeous.  They look like they could be vintage but they aren’t.  I love the different sizes that come with this garland as it gives it so much more interest.  To be honest, bells are all over the place this year in decor, but I’ve never seen this shape in such a great quality garland

I knew that I wanted to hang this jingle bell garland on one of our mantels and I originally thought of the one in our family room. Once I started holding them up in place, I loved the way these looked on the one in the kitchen.  Maybe because it is painted rather than stained.

Take a tour of all of our fireplace mantels in the house!

I love the layered garland look so I added a beaded garland above it. Who knows, I may add more to this look, but for now I went with just one strand.  I picked up several strands of it to hang on our big tree for under $7 and it’s excellent quality.

The large reindeer are also from Antique Farmhouse.  They come in two different sizes.  I originally thought of them for the porch and maybe they will be out there eventually.  But, for now, I am enjoying them here in the kitchen in front of the fireplace.

You can get the links to this entire area here.  I linked what I could as some of these items are either out of stock or no longer available.

Stay tuned to where all of this may end up next. Ha!  I love this look and more than likely will leave it, but I can never guarantee.  As I said, there will be tweaking here and there right up until the time they come.

  • I am LOVING ALL you are doing in your Christmas decorating; I love the bell garland, as it looks like it is old, though it isn't. This is the kind of thing I look for when I'm decorating as well, because there is just a cozy, hominess to it that you don't find in something that looks more modern.

    • I love that the bell garland is getting popular and easier to find because I also love their old appearance! It's one of my favorite things this year.
