Antique Finds from North Carolina

I haven’t shared an antique haul for quite some time. If you like this type of post, make sure to check all of them out here.  If you missed it, we made a flying trip to North Carolina for only a few days.  My sister’s husband was having major surgery so we wanted to be there for them. As you know, only a few people can be at the hospital, so during our down time, we visited the local antique stores that we love.  Here are the antique finds from North Carolina this week.

Antique Finds from North Carolina

Brown and White Whiskey Jugs – $10

The two little brown jugs above are one of Deb’s favorite collections that we have. When I see these little jugs at a great price, they come home with us.  We have a few other jug/bottles that have the same look that are displayed in our dining room. I will be displaying these elsewhere since our collection is growing but for now, they are here. They used to make these for syrup, whiskey, beer bottles, etc. See the below picture for the ones we have.  We both LOVE the beer bottles but when we find them, they are usually very pricey.

Vintage Ink Bottles – $5

I found an instant collection with these old bottles. I really don’t think I have ever seen them before.  And, thought they would look cute here in our old desk. I was right because I love them here. There are a few different colors of ink.

Watt Apple Bowl and Pitcher and Wooden Bowl – $5-$10

I rarely pick up the Watt items unless they are at a great price. This antique mall that we go to every time we are visiting my sister has a ton of them. When I see a 50% off sticker on that booth, I grab the ones that are less expensive to add to my collection. You can’t tell by the above photo but this pitcher is a larger than any that I have. And, this wooden bowl is a great one. It was half off, as well. I have a smaller collection of those that I shared here.

Keep Off Grass Old Sign – $5

I just loved this old sign. I will more than likely use it outside in our garden after giving it a coat of poly. But, during the winter months, it may be set on a shelf inside our home after the stake is removed.  These are the things that add so much to your home.  They add interest and make them very unique and unlike anyone else’s.

Antique Butter Molds – $10

I saw a ton of these wooden butter molds in this one antique place. They were around $25 each. I was wandering through another mall and these were in a booth that were 50% off, so I grabbed them.  I already have a few of these so I added them to my collection. I always dig through the 50% off booths because you never know what you will find.

Antique Shaving Brushes and Old Brush – $5

I have a collection of all of these so I added to them. Antique shaving brushes are something that I found this past summer and started a collection. They are in the little cabinet in the bathroom. I have another little cabinet that I will be stripping that use to be mine when I was a little girl. I thought it would be cute to put all of the doll items that I have that I have found through the years. Stay tuned for that.  The antique hair brush is another find and I have a few of those.

Antique Corbels – $20

These antique corbels are a great size and I have a place for them already but they won’t be hung for a bit.  Stay tuned and I will share. But, I’m very excited about them. They will add a lot of detail to our space.

Grandmother’s Clock – $275

Deb found this and absolutely loved it. It has all of the parts, but we are unsure if it will work but Deb is already working on it. If not, we will be grabbing the parts for a new clock and using the face of this. It will be a battery operated one. Note:  It isn’t going to stay here. I have it setting here for the photo.

Deb and I laugh all of the time. Our home is filled with collections that our kids will be able to have a huge estate sale when we are long gone. Ha! We don’t do much as far as taking trips, but we do love our collections.
