Vintage Christmas Decor

I was on eBay a few weeks back, looking for several Christmas gifts and wound up finding a few prizes for myself. It’s happened a few times recently, but, I just can’t help myself.  ????  The reason I love eBay is that they not only have new beautiful Christmas decor, but lots of nostalgic Christmas items that I am very drawn to.  And since there are no flea markets around my area in the winter, it fills that void.  ????   I always check eBay when I am changing out seasonal decor.  And since we are sprucing up the house for the holidays, I, of course, checked eBay for vintage Christmas decor and found some really cool items.

Vintage Christmas Decor

On one of my recent eBay extravaganzas, I ran across some vintage Christmas tree candle holder clips.  Seeing those clips brought back TONS of memories.  I remember helping my grandma, who was born in 1906, decorate for Christmas. She had a box of those old clips.  She explained to me that they used to put candles on trees rather than the lights we all know about these days.  My little pea brain couldn’t grasp the fact that candles were used to light the Christmas tree.  I not only found the Christmas tree clips but old candles as well on eBay.

A few more goodies that I found on eBay to decorate for the holidays is this antique gold glass garland.  I have it hanging on my old cabinet in the living room.  And I added a paper mache Santa, made in West Germany, to my collection.
