I have been DYING to show you the dining room makeover in the camper. I actually laugh at myself when I call it a “dining room” because it’s like 6’x3′. ???? Well…. I’m REALLY laughing in this pic ???????? because Deb was taking these photos and she told me to “Really get into it…. and do a pelvic thrust, or something.” ???????????? Anyway….. the dining room is the slide-out of the camper, which originally had the typical camper dinette set. Well, as you probably already know, we ripped that sucker out on demo day one! I knew I wanted it to look like a regular dining room, and not a camper dining room.
We decided to go with a floating shelf type of table to take up less floor space. And, let’s face it. When someone camps, rarely do they sit and eat at the table. At least we don’t. We sit around the fire. I wanted some place to sit and eat if it is raining and possibly use my laptop if need be. So that was our thinking on that.
We still have some trim work to do around the slide out, but that will be done hopefully this week. We added this little doodad on the top. It is something off of an old piece of furniture I have had in my stash forever.
I was searching online for a variety of different chairs or stool options for our camper “dining room.” You guys…. I found that eBay has every single thing I needed. I searched the Home and Garden AND the Yard, Garden, and Outdoor Living section to complete the look I wanted for our space. Several options would have worked. But, I knew I wanted a back on the chairs and again, wanted this dining room to look like a house rather than a camper.
I found these new Safavieh Dining Chairs and knew they would be PERFECT. They are a great size and the color matches so well with the rest of my decor in the camper. The dining chairs are a natural wood tone with a bit of gray. I’m so happy with them. They would also look so pretty in our house around the dining room table.
I grabbed a new Igloo stainless steel cooler, which we will keep in the camper. This cooler can obviously be used for not only camping, but also for family gatherings, tailgating, or just hanging out in the yard. ???? So, you don’t have to keep running to the house to grab another beverage. ???????????????? Yes, we do that. This Igloo cooler has a bottle opener on the side which is a really cool feature and will come in very handy around our home campfires.
These silicone wine glasses are the coolest invention ever. Of course, they are perfect for the camper because they are unbreakable. They are perfect not only for wine, but really anything.
I have my eye on some solar lanterns and a hammock to decorate all around the outside camper. I think those are both MUSTS.

What do you think of the the camper dining room? I am so happy with how it turned out. Honestly… it feels like a little house on wheels to me rather than a camper or trailer.

How in the world did you get the “cathedral” window to fit perfectly in the camper window?? Is that an antique?
haha no.. it was from our collection with Antique Farmhouse. It's lightweight and just a frame (no glass). And when it came, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it and it fit perfectly. ????
Absolutely stunning! I love everything about it so much. Where is the wallpaper from?!
Found it on one of your other posts! Love it!
Love the camper! Question...did you wallpaper the walls? If so, what did you use to hang it? My daughter-in-law has tried everything in her camper and nothing works. .Miss you guys.
Hi, Judy. You can read about our wallpapering adventure here: https://debanddanelle.com/camper-renovation-woodland-wallpaper/
Love the simplicity of the curtains in the dining area. Where are they from?
If I remember right, those are the sheer linen curtains. You can find them here: https://amzn.to/45V6bLP
