March Fireplace Mantel for Spring

I have been decorating my fireplace mantel since we brought it here to the rental.  This will be our fireplace mantel of the new house once we get in there.  I cannot wait.  I haven’t had a mantel to decorate in any of our homes because we always had the television above them.  That’s not happening in our new build.  I’m having way too much fun.  And, the way our fireplace will sit in the room, I can find a different place for the television.  If you enter the word “mantel” in the search bar above, you can see a few of my past mantels.  I did share it in January and February.  It may give you a few ideas for your own styling.

Since Spring is only a few weeks away, I figured it would be fun to make it “Springy.”  And, also a little “Eastery” at the same time.  But, this all could be left up for several months.  You won’t have to switch it around at all for Summer.

March Fireplace Mantel for Spring

I shared a cute bunny print last week over on Instagram that I put into one of my antique frames for Spring.  I just downloaded it for a few dollars and then had it printed at Walgreens.  (I go into the poster section because you can get a 16×20 that fits my frames.)  Well, I found a set of bunny prints that I just had to have.  One is brown and one is white and they face each other.  And, I loved the idea of putting them together on my fireplace mantel for Spring.  You can purchase the brown one and the white one separate, but it is more cost efficient to buy the set.

What else says Spring more than tulips?  I found these gorgeous tulips on Amazon and they look incredibly real.  They are actually called “real touch” so that should tell you that the also feel real.  30 tulips come in a set for only $17 and they are worth every cent.  I wanted just clear vases so I thought a few pint sized Ball jars would do the trick.  After trimming a few inches off of the stems, I added a little water to the jars so that they appear to look even more real.

Antique Farmhouse Collection

I LOVE using candlesticks on my mantel for height.  These particular ones are from our Woods and Whites collection from Antique Farmhouse.  I was so excited to help throw this collection together with Antique Farmhouse again.  They are chippy wood on the bottom and the top part is metal.   I hung up this wooden garland and think it gives it added texture.   And did you notice that the lamps are different in this room?  They are pretty much exact replicas of the ones Deb made from the old pool table we found and, also, part of the collection.  I have them setting on these pedestals.

I used my smaller Luminara candles which you should know by now are my favorites.  They look so real and there is no comparison to the inexpensive ones. And, I’ve had mine for years.   I have the timer set so they come on every day at the same time.

I hope you enjoyed my March fireplace mantel for Spring and got some ideas for your owns spaces.  Let me know what you think!

  • Then Sconces above your bed are exactly what I have been searching for to use over my bed. Would you be able to tell me where you purchased them?? Please??

    • We got them through our shop when we owned a storefront. I did find them on Etsy. Here is the link: https://shopstyle.it/l/bepfD One thing to note. They do not come hardwired. They wouldn't be hard at all to do. We have a candle tucked in them currently and may hardwired them for the new home.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE your homes. I have been following you for about 2 years now!! You both are my favorite. You make me laugh!!!! I love all of your prints that you have in your old frames. I have been looking on ETSY for the bird picture you had in the old white frame. It has two blue birds in the picture. Can you please tell me the name of the company you bought the download from? I would love to have it on one if my frames.

Can't wait to follow along on the new build. How exciting!!!

    Love you both!
