I already told you we were getting ready for a baby shower here in the cottage.  One of the girls is due on November 5.  I know it’s probably not the most ideal thing for the mom to have a shower, BUT, she hasn’t been around this area for YEARS.  And, I didn’t want to rent a place for family to celebrate the new arrival.  So I decided to have it here.

Anyway, she loves fall and Halloween and wanted to stick with that theme.  So I have been decorating different little areas around the cottage and am now considering myself DONE.  I may be giving a full tour of the cottage over on Instagram stories this weekend.  So stay tuned for that.

If you want some more inspiration, check out these posts:   fall entryway, quick neutral fall coffee table idea, the pergola swing all decked out for fall, and this simple fall dining room table.   There are a lot of other past posts for fall and I have them all linked here.

OK, onto my simple Halloween fireplace mantel.

Simple Halloween Fireplace Mantel

Did you see the last fireplace mantel that I put together using amber bottles?  I loved it but I wanted to keep the mantel pretty simple for the shower.  And, I threw this look together a few weeks ago and I’m not sick of it yet, so that’s a plus.  ????  I used the same mustard eucalyptus on each side of the television that I did in the last look.  (It is out of stock)   I think it looks so pretty in the rusty buckets that I found at a flea market.  I wanted height so I used a few risers that I had in my stash.

Of course, I added candlesticks.  They are my favorite thing to add to a fireplace mantel for height.  And these black ones are my new favorites.  They come four to a set and are a heavier metal.  I love the simplicity of them.  They will sure come in handy in all of my holiday decor.

If you don’t have these battery operated candles, they are a must for any type of holiday decor, too.  They look very realistic and have different settings.  I have several sets as they are great to tuck in anywhere.

I bought some different sized blackbirds last year and thought they look spooky on the mantel tucked in here and there.  It kind of gives it a mild spooky look… not too scary but a little scary.  ????

I hope you liked this simple halloween fireplace mantel. And again, keep watching on social media as I will be giving a fall tour of the entire cottage soon.
