Six Ways to Style a Cake Stand within Your Decor

Do you remember when I used to share different ways to style certain things?  I shared how to style a pedestal tray a few a few different ways years ago.  And I also shared different ways to use a farmhouse dish rack after I got sucked into a Facebook ad.  That dish rack must be in storage.  I haven’t seen it for awhile.  Anyway, I want to start doing that again with different items.  One of my favorite things to style are cake stand.  They are so versatile  So, today, I wanted to share six ways to style a cake stand within your decor.

Six Ways to Style a Cake Stand within Your Decor

In the Kitchen 4 Ways

1/ Let’s talk about the original use for cake stands… cake!   You can have this one on your counter displaying real cookies or muffins, too.  They will be easy to reach.  I can’t do that because I would eat sweets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner… and in between for snacks.  Therefore, I keep a fake cake under my dome.  I have had it for years and love it.  This particular cake stand comes with a glass dome that can be used for so many other things as well.  The stand itself is white milk glass and reminds me of the antique ones.

2/ One of my all-time favorite ways to use this particular cake stand within my decor is beside our kitchen sink.  It wrangles up all of the little things that we need and use daily, including hand soap, our brush to wash dishes, a bar of soap, etc.  This is a place where you can also add a little splash of seasonal decor.  Along with your every day items, add a small Christmas tree, a spring flower, or a little pumpkin, obviously depending on the season.

3/ This cake stand also looks really cute beside the stove to hold your most used olive oils or seasonings, a small stack of plates, and a few pieces of flatware for easy access.  I always say to leave some of your most used items out within your decor because they will get used a lot more often.

4/ Also..  put one beside your coffee pot and display creamer, sugar packets, stir spoons, etc.

In the Laundry Room 2 Ways

5/ They are perfect to add to your laundry room countertop to hold your laundry pods, a glass container filled with laundry detergent, a pretty glass bottle filled with bleach, bleach pen, a pretty spray bottle filled with spray and wash, etc.

6/ You can also set one beside the laundry room sink to hold hand soap, nail brushes, bars of soap, etc.  Again, they keep smaller items contained and make them look like one larger item, which means less clutter.

I currently have a cake stand in the laundry room displaying a Christmas tree.  And, I used one to display a jack-o-lantern in the kitchen this past fall.  So technically this is another way to use them…

Thanks for stopping by our website and reading our posts.  It means the world to us.  Let me know if you have any other ideas for this little series I am starting.  I will add it to a list.

Here are a few cake stands that we rounded up if you are looking for some to add to your decor.
