Today, I want to slow down, take a deep breath, and just reminisce on everything that has happened in the last month. When I think of the best things about the month of August, my mind goes in 100 different directions! 

August was an absolute whirlwind for Deb and I!  Seriously, I don’t know where the month went. In August, we went full Fall mode. We added all the pumpkins and all the cozy sweaters, but we were also working so hard to knock out the remainder of our outdoor projects before the colder months get here!

A Grand Entrance to the Garden 

We FINALLY finished our garden and its grand entrance! This project had us at wits-end for a while, but it’s finally done. It was not so lovingly called The Project that Never Ends.  These posts and the pergola top were a struggle, beginning to end, but it turned out so much better than we could have imagined, especially once we added the old lantern light that we picked up at a garage sale. Our Firepit 

We finally have a firepit again! Last night, the moon and stars were shining so bright, the air was cool and crisp, and it was the perfect night for a campfire. So, guess what we did? We sat around the fire with family, a few drinks, yummy snacks, and cozy blankets… around our new fire-pit area! It was absolutely perfect, and we already love having this area completed. Fall Fireplace Mantel

I went hard on the Fall decor this year. I just love decorating for this season; The colors are so warm and inviting. I seriously bought so many pumpkins! One of the projects that I enjoyed the most was decorating this fireplace mantel. It was my first time decorating this mantel for Fall, and I did something totally different than what I have done with other mantels in the past. Not having a tv over this mantel, like the others, meant I had to find a large decor item to define and add height to the mantel. I love how this turned out. See how I brought this area to life here. Our top Tik Tok video for the month was of us on the hunt for goodies at the 127 Garage Sales! It had over 68-thousand views!!
