Three Rugs that will Work in our Bathroom

Little by little, our new house is turning into our home.  That “feeling” happened when we got all of our furniture put into place.  And when the treasures are displayed exactly how I want them displayed.  Will everything stay this way forever?  Absolutely not.  But we have been finding things in the storage unit that I haven’t seen in 3 1/2 years and totally forgot about.  Honestly… It has felt like Christmas.  I have been putting together the main bathroom with treasures that I have found.  However, the rugs that I found were raggedy and didn’t match my style much anymore.  But, after 3 1/2 years, I know why.  Anyway, I grabbed three rugs that will work in our bathroom and wanted to share with you!  Because I love them all for different reasons.  Keep scrolling for which one I picked.

Three Rugs that will Work in our Bathroom

I wanted to share all three options because they are all beautiful.  They all have a different color palette.  However one stood out for me and our decor.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Loloi Rugs.  We have one in the family room, and also in the bedroom. If you have been here for any length of time, you know that I gravitate toward warm colored rugs.  They are so hard to find because the trend in the last few years has been gray. So when I find a brand who carries several warm color rugs, I am here for it. Not to mention, Loloi rugs are such excellent quality.  I honestly haven’t found a brand that I love as much.

Opiton #1 – Loloi II Layla Collection Olive/Charcoal

This rug was delivered first.  I honestly wasn’t expecting them until next week because that’s what the tracking said.  So, I got a great surprise.  I immediately LOVED the look of it.  It says it’s charcoal and olive green.  I agree with the olive green, but the charcoal to me looks more like a really dark brown or black.  Woods and whites and greens are mainly my color palette as I find it very calming. Which is what I need for my over active brain.  Loloi carries so many other colors in this pattern if you love the look but not the color of this one.  The darker rug looks so good on our white floors.  And it looks so good with our darker vanity, which I will be sharing soon.

Option #2 –Loloi II Margot Collection Antique/Sage

Option 2 is truly THE SOFTEST rug I have ever felt.  It feels like a Barefoot Dreams blanket so it feels really good on your feet.  It also looks so pretty on the white floors. This one says it’s the color sage but I see more of a teal rather than sage.  The warm tones of this rug and the vanity go really well together.  It truly is a beautiful rug.

Option #3 – Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines x Loloi Millie Collection Gold / Charcoal

This rug is a collab between Joanna Gaines and Loloi.  I immediately noticed that it has the fringed edge like the ones in the family room and bedroom.  I love that because it adds a little extra and it adds more texture.  This rug is very soft as well, but not as soft as option #2.  The description says it is gold and charcoal.  I would agree with the gold but I see the charcoal as more black or dark brown.  All of these colors go really well with my decor in the entire house as well as the bathroom.

Can you guess which one I picked?

Option #1 is beautiful, like I said.  When if first arrived, I knew it was going to be the one.  However, it has a polyester feel, which is perfect for a kitchen or bathroom.  But, I wanted something softer under my feet.

Option #2 is SO SOFT, but that teal color didn’t go with my decor at all.  It actually threw me off a bit, because the description says ‘olive’…

Option #3 is very soft.  And, it has the exact colors of our home.  We have a large stained glass window with yellows and greens that actually match the ones in our kitchen.  And, we are toying with the idea of hanging it in the bathroom window for privacy. So, this rug will look gorgeous with that, as well.

Therefore, we went with Option #3 and I cannot be happier.

All three of these rugs have warm-tones… even the one with the teal color.  So if you like warm-toned rugs, these are all great options.

I will be sharing the stained glass project in the bathroom once we are done with it.

Note:  None of these photos have a filter and look pretty true in color in the photos.

  • Options 1 and 3 were my favorites. It's going to be lovely with the stained glass. I can't wait to see. Oh, what did y'all decide to do about the lights?

  • Thanks you for sharing this post and your reviews on these carpets. You helped me decide I need a new rug and I chose option 1.

  • What's that little area before you enter the bathroom? The little rug with the pinkish flowers on it is so pretty. Could you give me some info on it?
