Trending Products and Stories from February

We dove headfirst into all things Spring during the month of February and that included Spring holidays, including Valentine’s Day, Saint Patrick’s Day, and Easter. Holiday items have been exceptionally popular this year, and I really think people are enjoying having something extra to celebrate. If something can bring joy, why not! Even we have found small joys in adding items to our home for these small, oftentimes overlooked holidays.

Best of February – Deb and Danelle

As I mentioned, holiday items have been a huge hit this month. Hearts were a home run for Valentine’s Day, and you are all shopping ahead for Saint Patrick’s Day and Easter. In addition to seasonal home items, our top four selling items for the entire month are a few practical items. They have sold amazingly well week after week and these are items that we use on repeat as well.

Amazon Home

  1. Electric Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer Kit This is suitable for wide and regular mouth Mason jars. We use this to seal food items in our fridge for day to day use, and food keeps so much longer in the fridge using this storage method!
  2. Amaco Rub n Buff Wax Metallic Finish We use this to dull an overly bright gold color and to give an extra antiqued look to decor items. We use this on frames, lamps, statues, etc. This is a set of two in color, European Gold, which is what we use.
  3. Jamaican Black Castor Oil I added this product to my skincare routine to help combat dry skin as well as redness. It has helped minimize the redness of my skin so much that even Deb noticed and has started using it as well.
  4. Felt Furniture Pads 300 Pack We use these premium felt furniture pads on all of our furniture pieces to help protect our pine floors. This 300 pack comes with a variety of sizes and shapes.
  5. Deco 79 Metal Heart Decorative Bell with Hanging Rope I grabbed this set of three rustic iron bells for Valentine’s Day. With their weathered finish they fit perfectly in with our decor, and you could easily leave these up year round.

  1. Floristrywarehouse Faux Cover in a Pot This is one of my favorite items we picked up for Saint Patrick’s Day. It features artificial green clover set in fake brown earth in a brown textured pot. This would look adorable set back on a shelf to bring a little luck to your home all year long.
  2. Fake Four Leaf Clover Plant This one is currently sold out but wanted to include it in case you are looking for something similar. It will bring up a lot of similar recommendations to add some green to your home for Saint Patrick’s Day
  3. Jute Spring Easter Fabric Carrots We grabbed a few sets of these jute fabric carrots to add some texture to our tabletop for Easter. They are 3-inches tall and go great paired with our floral arrangements for Spring.
  4. 30 Piece Real-Touch Artificial Tulips We have added real-touch faux tulips all over our home for Spring. I had one person tell me no more faux floral, but I love these and they have been selling like crazy! They are excellent quality so don’t be afraid that these will be a cheap fabric.
  5. Certified International Bee 6″ Luncheon Plates This set of four 6″ ceramic plates are adorable with their hand-painted bee designs. They are dishwasher and microwave safe but look amazing just sitting out on the countertop as decor, also.

Amazon Fashion

About midway through this month, I decided to start changing up my fashion choices a little bit. I am going a little less safe, so you may see things that are a little bolder and more gaudy. For example, the large heart necklace you will see below. It’s a lot but I love it!! You will still see a lot of neutrals and items that are appropriate for all ages, especially those of us 50+.

  1. Womens Love Heart Graphic Tee I love this heart graphic t-shirt with varying neutral-colored hearts. This was perfect for Valentine’s Day, but because it is so comfortable it is something that I will continue to wear all year long.
  2. Women’s Two Piece Lounge Outfit This is a great set for lounging around the house, but I would also wear this while traveling because it is comfortable but also fashionable. It fits true to size.
  3. HMD Tousled Updo Messy Bun Hair Piece This item right here has been a lifesaver! I lost so much of my hair and my ponytail is now almost nonexistent. I just wrap this hair piece around my existing bun like a scrunchy for a full messy bun look. I ordered the Medium Chestnut Brown, and it matches so well.
  4. Gold Chunky Heart Necklace This necklace was so popular that it initially sold out. Now, the pearl and gold option that I have is back in stock, as long as you don’t mind a long ship time. It’s so worth it, though.
  5. Extra Large Drop Earrings  These chunky gold earrings definitely make a statement. They have a nice weight but aren’t too heavy. I purchased the 40 mm gold hoop, but there are several cute options available in both gold and silver.
  6. Women’s Oversized Turtleneck Pullover Sweatshirt This  is a great sweatshirt for Spring. As the temperature still fluctuates between warm and cold, you can easily layer this and throw it overtop of another shirt.
  7. Puffy Red Heart Choker Necklace If you don’t want to wait for the pearl version of this chunky heart necklace, you can get it here in gold or silver much faster!
  8. Kunmi Women’s Ripped Mid Waisted Boyfriend Jeans I love these jeans. They are stretchy and don’t cut me off at a weird spot. They are loose fitting with a lot of holes and distressing. I usually roll mine at the bottom.
  9. Women’s Long Sleeve Velvet Open Front Jacket  I purchased this velvet jacket to wear for New Years Eve, but instead I find myself layering it with all of my favorite shirts. It can be dressy but also dressed down with your favorite graphic tees.

Top Blog Posts

  1. Tin Ceiling Wallpaper in our Entryway Our top trending blog post for the month of February was the conclusion of our tin ceiling wallpaper project. Mind you, we still need to add the crown molding, but the transformation this made to this space is amazing!
  2. My Spotify Playlist for February  You probably already know that I am a music buff, so each month I share a playlist of some of the songs I have been feeling lately on Spotify. This month’s list was a hit!
  3. Inexpensive Downloadable Prints for Spring and Easter I am always collective old frames that I can add prints too in our home. I typically buy inexpensive downloadable prints and change out the art in my frames with the season. This month, I featured my favorite prints for Spring which included my favorite bunny print from Etsy. I can’t even believe how well these sold this month. If you love bunnies, you will want to take a look at these!

Top Read Recipes

1. Jalapeno Popper Dip Recipe We made this recipe for our Super Bowl party and it is delicious. This would be a great side dish to take to any get together or party.

2.  High Protein Dessert for Lunch On those days when you just want something sweet, this makes the perfect lunch. It tastes like a scrumptious treat, almost like a thick cake batter, but it is high in protein.

3. Sweet and Spicy Roasted PecansThis was another recipe we tried for our Super Bowl party and it was a big hit… between Deb and I… we ate them all ourselves! Ha! They are sweet with just a tiny bit of heat.

Well, that is a wrap for the month of February. Can you believe we are already done with the first two months of the year. It just goes by so fast! We hope you will keep following along with all the fun things we have planned for the month of March.
