Woodland Spring Fireplace Decor

One of my favorite things to decorate is our fireplace mantel.  Did you know that our new house will have FOUR fireplaces?  Two double ones: one between the kitchen and dining room and one between the living room and master bedroom.  I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love that. (See layout here.)  We have two mantels in our collection currently and have been on the hunt for two more.  We want them to be BIG.   The smaller ones are easy to find but our rooms are going to be large so we want them to make a statement.  The one here in the cottage is 76″ wide so we didn’t want them to be smaller than that.  Do you remember when we bought that?

Well… we have a lead on two more in Tennessee.  Both of them are from a 100 year old home.  They are similar but not exactly the same.  And, they are 86″ wide.  We will be making a trip to pick them up in the next couple of weeks.  Seems like we just got back from Tennessee which is where we picked up our pantry doors.

OK… onto my spring fireplace decor.

Woodland Spring Fireplace Decor

When we were on our trip, we met up with Wesley from The Nested Fig.  They have some of the best home decor items.  Well, I saw these realistic looking ferns in his warehouse.  And, I loved them so much that I ordered them on the way home.  Once they arrived, I knew I wanted to style the fireplace as a woodland theme.   He has a LOT of gorgeous artificial ferns that look real.  (USE CODE DANDD10 to save 10%)I added each fern to an antique crock on each side of the Frame television.  (I talked all about our television in a previous post.) Of course, with this woodland theme, I needed to find a woodland photo for the telelvision.

My tall wooden candlesticks worked perfect beside the ferns.  They are the ones that I stripped using the oven cleaner method.  Which by the way, have you tried that?  It’s really simple and quick.  Anyway… my all-time favorite battery operated candles work perfectly for spaces like this.  They look very realistic and have a remote and timer, so you can set them anywhere from 2-8 hours.

I added another wooden candlestick (that are no longer available) and both of my rabbits that I grabbed at The Nested Fig as well.  The vintage looking gold one needed height so I added him to some old books.  And the rabbit bust looked cut on a stool with a wreath around it.  Click here for all of the available rabbits for spring.

I do have a code for The Nested Fig if you are interested.  Use DANDD10 to get 10% off of your orders.

This woodland spring fireplace decor is very simple which is how I like to style my mantels.  Did you see the other one I styled for spring this year?  That had a whole different feel.  If you ever need anymore inspiration for your mantels, I have shared so many throughout the years.  Click here to see more mantel decor.
